Is Kate Middleton Taking Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Meet Santa Claus?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially for children. Since Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton have vowed to provide a childhood that is as normal as possible for their children — their annual Christmas traditions look very familiar.

Each year, when Prince George and Princess Charlotte finish their fall term at Thomas’ Battersea primary school — the Cambridge clan packs up their Kensington Palace apartment and heads to their country estate in Norfolk — Anmer Hall.

While they’re together, the family has their own personal Christmas traditions before they meet up at the queen’s Sandrigum Estate with the rest of the royal family.

The Cambridges choose to head to Norfolk each year because the children can run and play on the estate without being seen by prying eyes of the public or the press.

The estate grounds provide plenty of privacy for the family and has tons of space for the children. During the break, the children typically go sledding, swim, write their letters to Father Christmas, and bake Christmas treats.

One of the British Royal Family’s favorite things to indulge in this time of year is “Cinnamon Stars” cookies. Since the older Cambridge kiddos and Middleton love to cook, we’re sure a batch of these sweet treats will find their way into the oven before Christmas Day.

While Prince Louis is probably content to gaze at the pretty lights and wrapping paper — Princess Charlotte and Prince George are serious about their Christmas wish lists.

Princess Charlotte’s ask this year is both big and iconic. An insider told Daily Mail, “She’s asked for a pony, but might have to wait until next year because William thinks she’s too young. George is really into tennis and has asked for a new racket and a football table.”

It looks like Princess Charlotte adores horses just as much as her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Meanwhile, we’s love to see Duchess Meghan Markle’s BFF Serena Williams giving Prince George some tennis pointers.

Kate Middleton is taking all three of her children to meet Santa Claus

He might be called Father Christmas in the U.K. –but the Cambridge kids are big fans of Santa Clause. In fact, Duchess Kate Middleton is taking all three of her kiddos to meet the jolly old man before Christmas Day.

“School friends of Prince George and Princess Charlotte from Thomas’ Battersea have invited the royal duo to the club’s Fairytale Grotto in the Log Cabin,” an insider told The Sun. “Santa Claus has been spotted already. The new children’s soft play area is great for happy Prince Louis, and other mums at the club are all very discreet.”

We wish we could see the little royals faces when they open their gifts on Christmas Eve. After all, “The royals are of German descent so they weave in German traditions to their celebrations. After afternoon tea, they open gifts on Christmas Eve, as is the German tradition,” Former royal chef, Darren McGrady, told Good Housekeeping in 2016.
