Singer, Katy Perry, and actor, Orlando Bloom, have both had high-profile relationships in the past. Perry dated fellow musician John Mayer and was married to comedian Russel Brand. Bloom was famously married to supermodel and businesswoman, Miranda Kerr. The two have an eight-year-old son together, Flynn, according to People.

Both Perry and Bloom confirmed their engagement on Instagram. Perry shared a close-up shot of their faces and her ring with the caption “full bloom” with her 75 million Instagram followers with heart-shaped balloons in the background. Bloom shared the same photo with his 2 million Instagram followers with the caption, “lifetimes.”
Perry’s mother shared pictures from the couple’s engagement party on her Facebook page but later deleted them, according to People. She captioned the pictures “Look who got engaged on Valentines Day!!”
How did Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom meet?
While it’s unclear when the couple were first introduced, dating rumors starting flying when they both attended a Golden Globes after party in 2016, according to UsWeekly. “Katy and Orlando Bloom had a total dance-off — it was the best part of the party,” a source said. “Katy literally dropped to the floor and was waving her booty around, beckoning Orlando.”
When did they start dating?
In the weeks following their Golden Globes after party dance-off, the two were seen multiple times together. First, in L.A. at a production of the play, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, according to Cosmopolitan. Then at an Adele concert, on vacation together in Hawaii, and finally at Coachella.

Judging from a TMZ video from Perry’s birthday in May 2018, Kerr and Perry do get along. Bloom and Kerr’s son, Flynn, celebrated Perry’s birthday with Perry and Bloom. In the video, Perry can be seen accepting a birthday gift from Kerr. And Perry says, “Love you, Flynnie,” in front of Kerr, giving the impression they get along.
