‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’: Will Kim Kardashian Leave the Show for Law School?

Kim Kardashian is known for her makeup line, her beauty line, and always looking fabulous. But above all, the middle Kardashian girl is known for being the star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

For 16 seasons, Kardashian has shared her life with viewers, probably in more detail than we needed, but that could all be coming to an end.

Recently, the reality star announced that she would be pursuing a career in law. But does that mean she’ll be taking a break from Keeping Up With the Kardashians?

Is Kim Kardashian in law school?

Kardashian recently told Vogue that she hopes to take the bar exam in 2022. Though she doesn’t have a law degree, she is studying the same things that the students in law school have to learn.

“First year of law school, you have to cover three subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts,” she told the outlet. “To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep. Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me. The reading is what really gets me. It’s so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds.”

This summer, she plans to take what is called “the baby bar” which is given by the state. If she passes, she will be able to study for three more years.

This unusual route to the bar is only possible for Kardashian because she lives in California and the state is one of four states that doesn’t require people to obtain law degrees before taking the bar exam.

Response to Kardashian taking the bar exam

Naturally, people have given Kardashian a tough time for trying to become a lawyer. The public only knows her as a reality star, so seeing her in such a different role is hard for a lot of fans to handle.

Earlier this month, Kardashian clapped back at the haters via Instagram.

“I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or money that got me here, but that’s not the case,” she captioned a picture of her studying. “The state bar doesn’t care who you are. Everyone can take this route if you live in a state where this is allowed.”

Will Kardashian leave ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’?

Whether you went to law school or not, studying for the bar exam is extremely time-consuming. So, Kardashian will have a full plate for the next few years.

“Last year I registered with the California State Bar to study law,” she wrote on Instagram. “For the next 4 years, a minimum of 18 hours a week is required, I will take written and multiple choice tests monthly. As my first year is almost coming to an end, I am preparing for the baby bar, a mini version of the bar, which is required when studying law this way.”

Last year I registered with the California State Bar to study law. For the next 4 years, a minimum of 18 hours a week is required, I will take written and multiple choice tests monthly. As my first year is almost coming to an end I am preparing for the baby bar, a mini version of the bar, which is required when studying law this way. I’ve seen some comments from people who are saying it’s my privilege or my money that got me here, but that’s not the case. One person actually said I should “stay in my lane.” I want people to understand that there is nothing that should limit your pursuit of your dreams, and the accomplishment of new goals. You can create your own lanes, just as I am. The state bar doesn’t care who you are. This option is available to anyone who’s state allows it. It’s true I did not finish college. You need 60 college credits (I had 75) to take part in “reading the law”, which is an in office law school being apprenticed by lawyers. For anyone assuming this is the easy way out, it’s not. My weekends are spent away from my kids while I read and study. I work all day, put my kids to bed and spend my nights studying. There are times I feel overwhelmed and when I feel like I can’t do it but I get the pep talks I need from the people around me supporting me. I changed my number last year and disconnected from everyone because I have made this strict commitment to follow a dream of mine – It’s never too late to follow your dreams. I want to thank Van Jones for believing in me and introducing me to Jessica Jackson. Jessica along with Erin Haney have taken on the role of my mentors and I am forever grateful to them both putting in so much time with me, believing in me and supporting me through this journey. This week I have a big torts essay due on negligence. Wish me luck ✨⚖️

“My weekends are spent away from my kids while I read and study,” she continued.

But it seems like her studies are taking place once she is done with the rest of her responsibilities, like filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“I work all day, put my kids to bed and spend my nights studying,” she wrote. “There are times I feel overwhelmed and when I feel like I can’t do it but I get the pep talks I need from the people around me supporting me. So, it doesn’t look like this reality tv star turned aspiring lawyer will be leaving our screens anytime soon. Thankfully.
