The last couple of years have been very busy for Palmer. She recurred on the now-canceled musical drama Star while starring in Epix drama Berlin Station (which also came to an end this year). And she joined the cast of the VH1 slasher series Scream for its third season.

But her biggest role this year is in the highly anticipated upcoming dramedy Hustlers. What song of JLo’s does Palmer love the most?

Palmer calls herself a “very big fan” of Lopez’s, adding “especially with Selena,” referring to Lopez’s biopic from the ‘90s in which she starred as the late songstress, considered her breakout role. Palmer told Jimmy Kimmel on his show that she “fell in love with that movie so much — and her — I don’t speak any Spanish but I learned a whole Selena song from that movie because of that movie.”

After belting out a few bars on-air, Palmer said that she sang the song as a karaoke number on the last day of filming. The only problem? “She was the only person that wasn’t there,” said Palmer of Lopez. But the superstar still knew about her co-star’s love of her role. “She knew because I did also another impersonation,” said Palmer, busting out one of the most iconic lines from Selena

Here’s what else Palmer is working on

Palmer’s got a new gig. She’s the co-host of a Good Morning America program, now titled GMA3: Strahan, Sara, and Keke. Palmer got the gig after filling in for Sara Haines. Kimmel asked her how it evolved from a one-time thing to a full-time job, and it sounds like the process was simple.

“So I did an interview [on GMA],” said Palmer. “I was just a guest. And they said, ‘Hey if you ever want to host, or just guest host, come on by.’ And it went from there to ‘Hey, if you want to hang with us all summer, hang with us all summer.’ And then it ended up [with] me staying.”
