Kelly Ripa Invited This Daytime Soap Alum Skiing and Fans Are All For It
With the holiday season in full swing, all the celebrities are out celebrating, like Kelly Ripa. The Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host spent some time on the slopes this weekend with her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their three children. Ironically, a fellow daytime soap alum was out doing the same thing, prompting Ripa to extend an invite. Here’s how it all went down.
Kelly Ripa and her family hit the slopes for the holiday weekend
Just like in years past, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, and their children packed their bags and traded fancy clothes for ski gear. Ripa, who is incredibly active and into physical fitness, hasn’t been caught on camera (yet), but her famous husband has.
Ripa posted a shot of the Riverdale actor in full ski garb, holding his custom Wagner Skis. According to Consuelos’s Instagram Story, the skis are new and likely a gift (possibly from Ripa). Fans of the duo are always happy to see each star post photos of the other.
Also not yet pictured are the Consuelos children. However, Consuleos also posted a shot of himself along with two others in the Instagram Stories feature. He’s riding to the top of the mountain on the ski lift. One looks to be their youngest, Joaquin, but the second could be Michael or Lola. Either way, everyone is all smiles.
Who did Kelly Ripa invite skiing?
Reading comments that accompany a celebrity’s photo is a pretty fantastic hobby. Ripa’s post of Consuleos holding his new skis garnered a lot of fanfare, including comments from other celebrities which, to be honest, are the best part of the comments section.
Ripa captioned her photo of Consuelos “#Equipomexico,” alluding to the fact that the skis have the Mexican flag painted on.
“Skiing this week too. Have fun brother,” actor, Cameron Mathison said.
“Come over!” Ripa replied.
“Best post ever,” one fan said. “I hope Cameron came over,” another added.
Meanwhile, other celebrities used the opportunity to drop puns. Carson Kressley said “Mex-ski-co,” while Lori Petty said, “So fresh and so clean clean!”
The Ripa-Consuelos family are all decked out for the season
Ripa previously joked on air about her Christmas tree choices in the past. This year, the family tree, whom she referred to as “The Lady,” is lush and majestic.
If you look close enough, you’ll see that Ripa’s ornament collection isn’t the usual bulbs and bobbles. Instead, the tree features old photos of her family. That’s right — of the family. Little picture cutouts of memories past are carefully placed all over the tree.
Ripa and crew know how to celebrate a holiday right. And who knows — maybe Mathison joined them on the slopes after all. All My Children reunion, anyone?
