Kendall Jenner Is the Highest-Paid Model of the Year Again in 2018
The Kardashian and Jenner family make money from filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians. But they all almost have businesses and jobs outside of that. Kendall Jenner models and she has been able to work with some of the most famous brands. Now, she can say she has been the highest-paid model for two years straight. Find out how much she made and more.
Kendall Jenner is the highest-paid model in 2018 with $22.5 million
The reality star is still at the top of the modeling industry in terms of taking the biggest paychecks home. According to Forbes, she made $22.5 million in the 12 months before June 2018. Some of the brands she worked with this year are Victoria Secret, Calvin Klein and more.
The second highest-earning model under her is Karlie Kloss. It probably helps Jenner to have a notoriously great manager, Kris Jenner helping her out. Her sister, Kylie also made it into Forbes for Kylie Cosmetics growing to the worth of $900 million in less than three years.
Kendall Jenner also made just a bit more money than last year. According to Forbes, she was the highest-paid model in 2017 by making $22 million. Some of the campaigns she was featured in included Fendi, Adidas, La Perla, Estee Lauder and more.
Jenner previously angered other models when she said she is selective about her modeling jobs
The model got on the bad side of many other people in her industry for comments she made in an interview. “Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do,” she told Love magazine. She added, “I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f*ck those girls do. More power to ‘em. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else.”
Of course, not everyone in the modeling industry can afford to be as selective as Kendall Jenner. Others spoke about this including Daria Strokous who wrote in an Instagram story, “‘whatever the f*ck those girls do’ is do their very best to make their way up AND try to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families.”
Strokous then added, “Oh, and it’s 70 shows a season by the way and we all are f*cking proud of every single of the girls that did it.”
Jenner then responded after backlash from more models. She tweeted “I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context.I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!”
In another tweet, she wrote, “I get to experience first hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, stress of traveling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful.”
So it’s safe to say that Kendall Jenner is the highest-paid model but it’s not because of the number of jobs she’s getting. It has to do with the deals she is getting for the jobs.
