How Kevin Hart Talked About His Alleged Cheating Scandal in a New Stand-Up Show

Comedian Kevin Hart discussed the drama surrounding his ongoing extortion scandal during a recent stand-up show.

As reported by TMZ, during a performance in Atlanta on Saturday night, Hart seemed to address the elephant in the room right away, opening his show by saying, “We got a lot of sh*t to talk about today, people. A lot of sh*t to talk about today.”

Hart didn’t immediately get into his current personal issues, but he did at the end of the show, closing by thanking the audience for their support.

“Before I go, I want to tell you all something,” Hart said. “And this is as real as it gets right here. The words ‘appreciation’ do no justice for what I feel for you guys…Let me tell you why I say that. I’m going through some sh*t right now. I’m going through drama. And the best thing to have when you have drama is a God damn support group.”

The last part of Hart’s statement there was drowned out by the Atlanta audience erupting in applause. The comedian went on to say he’s trying to be a better person, seemingly confirming that he cheated on his pregnant wife.

“I say thank you from the bottom of my heart, because what I want you guys to understand is that I’m not perfect,” Hart said. “…Things happen for a reason, and in this particular case, guys, I promise you I’m going to come out a better man and a better father.”

Last week, Kevin Hart posted a video on Instagram apologizing to his pregnant wife, Eniko Parrish. Hart’s publicist soon revealed that this was because someone tried to set the comedian up in an extortion attempt. TMZ subsequently reported that a woman was demanding money from Hart or she would publish a video of him engaging in “sexually suggestive” conduct with a woman who is not his wife.

Later in the week, the woman in the video, Montia Sabbag, held a press conference in which she said that she was indeed in an intimate relationship with Hart about a month ago. She and her lawyer also said that someone snuck cameras into a private hotel suite where she was with Hart.

“Someone apparently snuck cameras into Kevin Hart’s private hotel suite in Las Vegas and recorded bedroom images of the two of them,” Lisa Bloom, Sabagg’s lawyer, said.

Kevin Hart has been open about the fact that he cheated on his first wife and that this is why their marriage ended.
