Khloé Kardashian Admits That She Doesn’t Hold a Grudge Against Tristan Thompson or Jordyn Woods
It might have ruined her relationship and caused her tremendous amounts of stress, but Khloé Kardashian isn’t harping over the Tristan Thompson and Jordyn Woods cheating scandal.
In case you (somehow) missed it, Thompson and Woods allegedly kissed at a party back in February, and they were both subsequently ousted from the family. It was the second time the NBA baller had allegedly cheated on Kardashian during their nearly three-year relationship.
It’s been nearly seven months since then and, while it’s surely still an emotional subject, Kardashian said in a new interview that she doesn’t hold a grudge against her ex or her former family friend.
More on what Kardashian said
The Good American designer opened up on the matter in a Sept. 6 interview on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. When asked how she felt about Woods asking Kylie Jenner whether she could send Kardashian an apology note for her role in the scandal, the reality star replied:
“I know everybody makes mistakes, I think it’s how you handle it and I think apologies need to be as loud as your disrespect was or to me it’s not sincere. I’m forgiving. I’m forgiven [and] I’m not someone who holds a grudge. If I do that it’s only going to affect me…that chapter is closed for me. I want all of us to move on and to be happy, successful people. I just want everyone to just be better people with each day. That’s genuinely how I feel. You know, that’s really it.”
She went on to explain how the situation has changed her for the better, adding, “Things have to happen to me for me to become a better person as well, and if we can’t laugh at it, what in the hell am I going to do? Sit in a ball and cry?…You have to laugh and still move on with life and know that everything is going to be okay.”
Could she and Thompson get back together?
Don’t get it twisted — Kardashian might have forgiven Thompson, but that doesn’t mean that she wants to rekindle their romance. It seems like the only relationship she wants to have the NBA star is a co-parenting one. (They share a 1-year-old daughter, True.)
“True is such a blessing,” a source previously shared with Us Weekly. “Khloé is grateful she has her daughter. She is never going to take True away from Tristan as long as he’s a good father to True and [does] his part. Khloé will always allow Tristan to be in True’s life as much as he can be.”
The exes teamed up back in April to celebrate True’s first birthday, which was “really hard” for Kardashian. But they’ve still been putting in the effort to raise their daughter in a healthy environment. Fans will be able to watch more of their co-parenting efforts on the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
What Woods has been up to
Woods has been keeping busy. She moved out of Kylie Jenner’s home, appeared in a music video, made the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine, and more.
While she’s seemingly moving forward, she’s also hopeful that she’ll reconcile with the family one day.
“I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier,” she told Cosmopolitan for its September 2019 issue.
Who knows what the future holds. But, as they say, anything can happen.
