The Kardashian family is one of the most powerful families in pop culture. They have multiple reality TV shows that people love to hate or just genuinely love. They have then been able to profit off of their following through other creative business ventures. Although Kris Jenner has been dubbed the mastermind behind the family’s success, each daughter has become a businesswoman in her own right. Khloé Kardashian is no exception.

The youngest Kardashian has become a fan favorite ever since the show aired. This is mainly for her being the one with the most personality, saying exactly what the audience is thinking about her crazy family, and being funny. All of these things led to her branching out into getting a radio show and talk show for a short time.

According to InStyle, Khloé is worth $13 million which is exactly tied with Kourtney’s net worth. They both trail behind Kim, Caitlyn Jenner, and Kris. So how many businesses does she own to make this amount of money? Here are the five businesses that helped make Khloé so successful.

1. DASH

All three sisters own and started the DASH boutique in Calabasas and were able to open two more stores in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. Turns out it took a long time for the business to really to take off. The visibility on their reality show probably has something to do with that.

“We literally had no money,” Khloé wrote in a blog post. “The three of us bought all our own inventory, cleaned the store, did our own taxes – everything.” She continued, “There were definitely months where we couldn’t pay our bills. The store was just breaking even for six or seven years! We didn’t make any money, and it was really scary.”

2. Kardashian Glow

The Kardashian women are known for their tanned skin, so it only makes sense that they would get in on the tanning industry. They make bronzers that promise to give customers a tan more quickly in order to copy their glow. There are eight different lotions in the product line, and it looks like all three of them are in on the company together.

3. Kardashian Beauty

Once again the Kardashian sisters got together on another business venture. Reality star Khloé owns Kardashian Beauty along with Kourtney and Kim, and it is a complete beauty line. However, they all got in hot water for not really paying attention to it. They were slapped with a $200 million lawsuit for not tweeting the makeup line, according to TMZ. Hillair Capital Management reportedly gave them $10 million because the business was struggling. But now the company is suing them for not spreading the word about it on social media.

Pretty much each member of the family has their own app so fans can keep track of them. Khloé’s app doubles as a lifestyle app with workout, organizational, and shopping tips from the reality star. It also promises special access to events and giveaways to users.

According to Hollywood Life, there are 891,340 total subscribers to the family’s apps. Kylie has the most with 74%, Khloé has 11%, Kim has 9%, and Kendall has 6% of the subscribers. There is an estimate that the family made $32 million from the apps in one year alone.

One of the few times Khloé Kardashian has bravely gone out on her own is with her book, Strong Looks Better NakedAfter losing weight, it looks like the reality star wanted to start giving lifestyle tips. “I am so excited about sharing my philosophy on how I live and the power of strength,” Khloé said according to E! “I hope to be an inspiration to readers everywhere on how they can create their own true strength and beauty inside and out.”

The book includes anecdotes from events in her life like marriage, mourning her father’s death, and Caitlyn Jenner’s transition. Her book is currently No. 4 on the celebrities section of The New York Times best sellers list.

6. Dollhouse: A Novel

This might be one of the most unbelievable ways the sisters decided to make money together. Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney co-authored this novel to tell a fictional story about three famous sisters named Kamille, Kass, and Kyle. Kat is their mother who runs a restaurant with their stepfather, a retired baseball player. It’s obviously to give the illusion that they are writing about their own famous life, and it was most likely ghostwritten by someone else.

The story didn’t get any sequels, but that doesn’t mean other family members didn’t follow suit with this business model. Little sisters Kylie and Kendall also went on to write a book together called Rebels: City of Indra: The Story of Lex and Livia. It’s a dystopian story focusing on two super-powered girls.
