Did Khloé Kardashian really copy Beyoncé‘s look in her latest promotional photoshoot? That is what many fans seem to think after they noticed how much the Good American founder’s “new face” resembles that of the Queen Bey’s.
While being accused of “ripping off” Beyoncé’s look is a first for Kardashian, it’s not for two of her sisters who often come under fire for using the singer as a source for inspiration.
Fans are roasting Khloé Kardashian for ‘cosplaying’ as Beyoncé
On Sept. 29, Kardashian found herself being criticized on social media after several promotional photos from her new partnership with beauty subscription service Ipsy surfaced online.
In the photos, the mom of one is seen rocking an all-pink ensemble along with chestnut-colored hair. Once social media users caught sight of the snapshots, many quickly shared their opinions on Kardashian’s appearance.
While some pointed out that she looked unrecognizable in the photos, others went as far as to accuse the Keeping Up With the Kardashian‘s star of heavily editing her face in the pictures.
But the one claim surrounding Kardashian’s photos everyone on social media seemed to agree on was that her “new face” and brunette locks made her look just like Beyoncé.
Though some thought Kardashian “copied” the hitmaker’s signature look, others compared her appearance in the pink-themed shoot to that of the Queen Bey’s in her 2005 “Check On It” music video.
Some even joked that the KUWTK star looked so similar to Bey, they thought she was ‘cosplaying’ as the singer for fun.
Both Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner have been accused of ‘ripping off’ Beyoncé
Getting called out for trying to look like Beyoncé is nothing new for the Kardashian-Jenners.
In March, after Kylie Jenner posted a photo of herself sporting dirty blond hair and posing in a green leopard-print jumpsuit on Instagram, fans quickly accuse her of “copying” Beyoncé’s look.
Later that same month, fans were convinced Jenner had stolen the Grammy winner’s entire ensemble after she posed for a photo dressed in the same jumpsuit the Queen of Flawlessness donned the year prior.
Just like the makeup mogul, Kim Kardashian West has also been accused of mirroring the singer’s mien.
In 2019, the mother of four came under fire when fans slammed her for trying to look more like Beyoncé in her Vogue Arabia cover shoot.
Before then, fans were convinced the reality star had copied Beyoncé’s glitter photoshoot after she posted some KKW Beauty promotional shots of herself covered in body glitter on social media.
Though they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, the internet seems to think that the Kardashian-Jenners take their admiration for Beyoncé just a little too far.
