Khloé Kardashian Is ‘Proud’ of the ‘Co-Parenting Place’ She and Tristan Thompson Are In
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are in a new place. The couple who ended their relationship after Thompson cheated with family friend, Jordyn Woods, reached a place where they can co-parent their one-year-old daughter, True Thompson.
On Nov. 8, 2019, Kardashian revealed in an Instagram video that she received a gift from her ex. Thompson sent the 35-year-old metallic balloons spelling out “pink diamond” in honor of the launch of her pink diamond KKW Fragrance, according to People.
“Today was the launch of my pink diamond collection with KKW Fragrance and I got these balloons sent to me from baby True and Tristan and I really appreciate the love and the thoughtfulness,” Kardashian said in a video of the balloons in her living room.
While it had been unclear what would happen in their romantic relationship, Kardashian’s pleased with how far she and Thompson have come as parents.
“I’m really proud at the co-parenting place that we are in,” Kardashian said.
Mysterious quotes came after the gift
In the days following the gesture from Thompson, the founder of Good American posted mysterious quotes on her Instagram Stories. While she’s been known to post quotes on her social media accounts before, one, in particular, seemed like it could be related to Thompson.
Among the series of quotes and inspirational messages Kardashian shared, she posted “It takes a strong person to remain single in a world that is accustomed to settling with anything, just to say they have something,” to her Instagram Stories.
Kardashian admitted co-parenting ‘is hard’
As a guest on the podcast, On Purpose With Jay Shetty, the star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians said it’d be “easier” for her to remove Thompson from her life completely but that she has to keep her daughter in mind.
“I want to show my daughter that it’s okay and it’s a beautiful thing to also forgive her dad. He’s a great person,” Kardashian said. “Maybe him and I weren’t compatible or whatever [in] that way, but that’s okay. Nobody’s gonna die here, and I always want True to be surrounded by love.”
She continued: “And I know babies feel energy… and I just want her to always feel just bliss, as much as I can. I know it’s not realistic every day, but as much as I can control it, I feel like it’s my mama-bear job to control it.”
Kardashian opened up about co-parenting, admitting that it can be “hard.”
“It’s not easy for me,” she said. “You know, it would be easier for me to keep my daughter away and be like, ‘No, ’cause you hurt me’” — but Thompson “never hurt True.”
“Him and I have our own relationship, and then Tristan and True have theirs, and I will never come in between that. I don’t believe in that,” she added.
Thompson and Kardashian’s break up played out the Kardashian-Jenner’s reality show earlier this year. The mother of one invited her ex to True’s birthday party, another event that showed up in scenes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. While the two have had their struggles learning how to co-parent True, they seem to have reached a place where they can work together.
