Khloé Kardashian Just Shared the Biggest Change Since Becoming a Mom to True
Khloé Kardashian admits she has found her softer side since becoming a mom to daughter True. In a July 15 interview with The View, Kardashian shared the significant way motherhood has changed her for the better.
Kardashian discussed the positive aspect of quarantine
During her interview with The View, Kardashian was asked how she was coping with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and she shared the positive aspect for her. The quarantine and social distancing requirements have allowed her to have more time with her daughter, something that she’s cherishing.
“I think, just like for everybody, at first it was really uncertain and sort of scary for everybody,” she explained.
Kardashian continued, “Now I feel like I’ve kinda found my rhythm — this is my new normal — and I am really appreciating the reset button and all the time that I do get to spend with [True].”
“I try to find the positive in anything, and with all the negative, there’s also a lot of positive as well,” she added.
Motherhood has made her ‘softer’
Kardashian was also asked about how motherhood has changed her and the reality star shared that she has “always loved kids” and “always had so much patience for children,” but being a mom is a totally different experience.
“You put somebody else way before your needs and I think it gives you a different drive in life,” she explained, adding, “[True has] definitely made me softer.”
It’s also given her the gift of perspective, as she now realizes what her mom went through in raising the Kardashian-Jenner kids. Kardashian said she has “so much more empathy for my poor mother [Kris Jenner] and what she’s gone through with all of us.”
“It’s a different kind of love, and until you have a child it’s really hard to experience,” Kardashian added. “I’ve loved my nieces and nephews like crazy, but there’s nothing like having your own.”
Kardashian and ex Tristan Thompson are in a ‘good space’
When Kardashian’s ex Tristan Thompson cheated on her, it was hard for some fans to imagine that she would let him back in her life, but she explained recently that it’s important for him to be part of True’s upbringing.
During an interview with Andy Cohen in a Keeping Up With the Kardashians bonus clip, when asked how co-parenting is going, she admitted that they are “in a good space.”
“You know what, Tristan and I are in a really good space,” Kardashian answered and Cohen said, “If anyone could get in a good space with him, it’s you.”
“It’s like I have to be an adult,” she added. “Why make it difficult for myself for the rest of my life? I have to deal with him.”
She went on to praise Thompson for being a “great dad” and it appears she’s putting the past behind them.
“He’s her dad and he’s a great dad to her,” she explained. “So I’m not gonna drag my feet; I’ll make it as good as I can. Because that would just be harder on me. And so, it’s in a really good place. I praise things like that.”
