Why Khloe Kardashian Thought Her Mom’s Relationship with Corey Gamble Wouldn’t ‘Last Long’

On the most recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family and OG momager, received some heat from her daughter, Khloe Kardashian, for her relationship with Corey Gamble. Why? Because Kardashian felt she and the rest of the family didn’t know much about Gamble. Keep reading to learn why Kardashian thought her mom’s relationship with her boyfriend “wouldn’t last” and how Kanye West fits into the drama.

Kanye West asked Gamble about his family

Husband to Kim Kardashian and now the father of four children, West, sent Gamble a text message asking him why the Kardashian-Jenner clan hadn’t met anyone from his family.

The text message left Jenner upset and Kardashian, along with her sister, Kourtney, defending West’s actions.

“Kanye’s delivery wasn’t great, but the essence of what he said is true,” Kardashian said. “Corey does tend to be pretty secretive and that does have me pretty guarded…We don’t know Corey like that,” she added.

Kardashian also explained why she thought her mom’s relationship with Gamble would fizzle out quickly. Gamble and Jenner started dating in 2014 shortly after Jenner’s divorce from Caitlyn Jenner.

“After my mom got her divorce, I was like, ‘OK, this probably isn’t going to last,'” she explained. “I just didn’t feel the need to get that connected or attached.”

She continued on, saying that one she realized Gamble wasn’t just a fling, she wanted to learn more about him.

“Then when I saw time progressing and the relationship was still there, we tried to get to know him, but he has not been receptive in this whole thing,” Kardashian said.

Jenner on Kardashian’s actions: ‘She really needs to get on my bandwagon’ and ‘be nice’

68-year-old Jenner didn’t react kindly to West’s text message to her boyfriend.

“I just wish I knew why [Kanye] has to bring bad energy into the field at 6 o’clock in the morning,” Jenner said. “I would never disrespect somebody and say that,” she added.

The momager explained why her Kardashian’s reaction upset her, saying, “I think it’s really unfair to direct this attitude towards Corey.”

“It’s really important for Khloe to understand that she really needs to get on my bandwagon because Corey is a part of the family, he isn’t going anywhere and she needs to be nice,” Jenner continued.

Jenner then explained that none of her kids look at her life to see what’s going on. “Nobody really slows down enough to take a look at it from a bird’s eye view of my life.”

Jenner on her relationship with Gamble: ‘He’s taking care of me like no one has in my entire life’

Kardashian went to her mom’s home in Palm Springs to talk about the situation and clear the air where her mom explained her side of things.

“I want you to recognize that when you do question my relationship with Corey, it isn’t OK and it hurts feelings,” she told her daughter. “I think what you guys don’t realize is Corey is really taking care of me like no one ever has in my entire life.”

After the explanation, Kardashian left Palm Springs on a high note. She told her mom, “I want you to be happy…You have to live your life for you and be happy and if you are, that’s great. I support you and I want you to feel like we’re happy for you, because we are.”

We agree that not much is seen of Gamble on Keeping Up with the Kardashians but he’s not the one who literally signed up for a reality TV show. While we, the public, may not see more of Jenner’s boyfriend on the family’s show, the Kardashian-Jenner clan may see more of him off-camera after this drama.
