Khloé Kardashian Says This Family Member Was Especially Supportive During Her Coronavirus Battle
Khloé Kardashian recently revealed that she was one of the millions of Americans who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) and has since been open about what that experience was like for her.
Not only has she gone into detail about the challenging symptoms she suffered from, but the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has also revealed the one person who supported her the most during that difficult time — and it neither her mom nor her sisters.
Khloé Kardashian tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year
During the latest episode of KUWTK, viewers were taken back in time to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.
The episode saw the Kardashian-Jenners entering a state-mandated lockdown while coming to terms with isolation and virtual schooling for their kids. Shortly after the reality stars shut down their show’s production and began shooting KUWTK on their phones, Koko became seriously ill, which sparked worry amongst the family.
After realizing her sickness wasn’t getting any better, Kardashian decided to take a COVID-19 test and self-quarantine in her bedroom while awaiting her results.
A few days later, the Good American founder revealed that she had tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Vomiting and shaking, and hot and then cold. I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache, I wouldn’t say it was a migraine,” she said while lying in bed. “The coughing in my chest would burn … and my throat is still not fully recovered, clearly.”
“Let me tell you, that sh*t is real,” the mom of one adds. “But we’re all going to get through this. Praying if we follow orders and listen we’re all going to be okay. May god bless us all.”
Kardashian detailed her COVID-19 experience on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
In addition to opening up about her battle with the coronavirus on KUWTK, Kardashian also went into detail about her experience during an Oct. 29 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“It was so incredibly scary. It’s still scary, but especially then when the whole world was shutting down and we didn’t really have any information or the information we had just changed every single day,” she told the daytime talk show host. “It was just super, super scary.”
Though dealing with a severe case of the virus was no walk in the park for Kardashian, having to be away from her daughter True for days on end proved to be even more challenging.
“I just was quarantined in my room for 16 days. We had to wait until I had negative test results for me to leave. And that was the hardest part,” she shared. “I don’t care how beautiful of a place you have, being taken away from your child for that long, because I couldn’t be around my daughter, that was the most heart-wrenching thing.”
Kardashian says Tristan Thompson took care of her and their daughter while she dealt with the illness
Although she couldn’t be around friends and family during her battle with the coronavirus, Kardashian still received love and support from her inner circle — especially from her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Tristan Thompson.
During KUWTK, Koko revealed that Thompson really stepped up when she fell ill. Not only did he make sure their two-year-old daughter was well-taken care of, he also served as Kardashian’s caregiver while she battled the illness.
“No matter how sick I am, I’m still constantly focused and thinking about True,” she said to the camera. “So, having her dad here, it gives me a little more time that I could focus on just me trying to get better.”
“Tristan has been bringing me food,” she added. “And then, he’ll knock on the door and I wait 30 seconds or a minute, then I go and get it.”
Although Thompson is the last person we ever thought would step up and take care of Kardashian amid her coronavirus diagnosis, it’s good to hear that he was there for her and their daughter during such a challenging time.
