Khloe Kardashian Responds to Criticism About ‘Excessive Spending’ for True: ‘I Want to Spoil Her’

Khloe Kardashian is clapping back at fan criticism that she spends too much money on her daughter True. Her response to the criticism was well put, though she did explain that she will continue to spoil True because it’s her choice to do so.

Kardashian was mom shamed

Kardashian posted a too cute video of True riding around in a toy Bentley and some of her fans decide to call her out on it. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star captioned the footage of True in the sparkly pink car: “I have so much fun with her.”

One fan commented: “Another Kardashian in a Bentley. You guys are so oblivious to how your excessive spending looks to the outside world. I really loved your family’s story and now just can’t bare [sic] to watch as you spend all this money on worthless materialism. It’s so sad.”

Kardashian responded, pointing out it’s just a toy

Kardashian fired back with a response to the commenter, noting, “Ummm you know this is not a real Bentley? It’s a toy.” She added: “No reason to be sad over a baby in a toy car. Either way I’m sorry you feel that way but I hope you have a great weekend! Focus on things that make you happy! Smile.”

The commenter came back with a little more explanation, writing: “Appreciate your responding. Just figured it’s something to be thinking about. You have so much influence and know you’ve had a positive impact on so many. Always ways one can improve as people, though — myself 100% included.”

The reality star was thankful for the critique

Turns out, Kardashian wasn’t mad about the comment, saying that she could now “hear” the commenter, rather than the first comment they posted. She noted: “I appreciate this! I appreciate this message more than your first. I’m able to digest what you have to say because of how you stated it. I hear you.”

She continued: “I personally don’t believe that all we do ‘is spend money on worthless materialism.’ I’m not here to prove what I do or don’t do. But what I can say is that I’m able to look myself in the mirror and sleep well at night. I’m able to do that because I know I’m a good person and life is all about balance.”

She was unapologetic about how she’s raising True, sharing: “Yes, I do choose to spoil my daughter. I want to spoil her with love and as well with material items. She will also be raised with values, responsibilities, chores, respect, self love… We all work hard and we are able to spend our money in the way that we choose. I hope that’s what comes across to ‘the outside world.’ To lead with love above anything else.”

Another commenter believed she should donate some of her cars and Kardashian set the record straight, explaining, “you have no idea what I donate…,” noting, “Charity is not something to be boastful about. Unless you are bringing awareness to a certain organization there is no reason to big yourself up off someone’s struggles. I hope this energy that you’re bringing to my page you give to yourself.”

Ultimately, she explained, “Let’s a worry about strangers less and ourselves more!”
