Kim Kardashian Revealed These Surprising Details About the 2019 Family Christmas Card

It’s not the holidays without the annual Kardashian Christmas card, but it looks like those full family cards may be a thing of the past. The carefully posed and coordinated cards were something fans looked forward to every year, but it sounds like it’s getting more logistically challenging to pull together these days.

Recent cards have been incomplete

The Kardashian Christmas card tradition has been going on since before they became household names. As they became reality stars, the cards became more elaborate and something that their loyal followers couldn’t wait to see.

There were a few years they skipped the tradition and, in 2017, Kylie Jenner was noticeably absent from the card. The 2018 edition was missing Kendall Jenner, who tweeted “HA well this is awkward” and Kris Jenner. The card featured Kim, Kourtney, Kylie, and Khloe with all of their children.

Kim shared the reason why Kris and Kendall weren’t involved, noting on social media: “This year we waited until the last minute to do a card. Schedules were changing, my husband was in and out of town. But the day of this card last minute realized we were all together so we had all of our kids come meet us. Kendall and my mom rushed to a meeting after this shoot so this is what we have! As many of us as possible!”

It was a welcome surprise at any rate, as Kim told E! News there wouldn’t be a card, sharing, “Kris Jenner has given up. She just is like, ‘I don’t have the energy to wrangle all my kids anymore, and their kids.’”

The 2019 card will be quite different

It sounds like the big family Christmas cards may be history as Kim recently shared what she has planned this year, teasing it will be “chill.”

She told E! News: “I think this Christmas card will be just my family, like me Kanye and the kids because it’s a lot to wrangle everybody.” She added that it’s going to be “something really chill and cozy.”

When sisters Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney stopped by The Real on Nov. 5, they were asked about the card plans this year and Kim shared: “We haven’t even talked about it.” She did note at the time, “I’m going out of town this weekend so I was going to do one with the kids and Kanye.”

She did extend an invite to her sisters, however, noting: “If you guys want to join in… you’re more than welcome to. Like you can use my photographer and you can do one with your families. Or we can do one group one together.”

She added: “I just mean… we can see which one we like,” with Kourtney offering, “[We can] do solo families.”

In discussing how they get all of the kids involved to pose and look at the camera, Khloe confessed, “Last year [photoshoot] was crazy,” and Kim shared: “[We have] to give them lollipop bribes!”
