Kim Kardashian Is Launching A Luxe Cozy Collection For SKIMS

Kim Kardashian is well on her way to becoming a billionaire like her little sister, Kylie Jenner. Though she was already deeply invested in her beauty and fragrance brands– KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance respectively — Kardashian’s latest venture is being called one of the more brilliant business ideas of our time.

Despite a delay due to a much-needed rebrand– when the Keeping Up with the Kardashians starlet launched her shapewear line, SKIMS Solutionwear it literally flew off the shelves. For years, the beauty mogul has been on a mission to find the proper shapewear and undergarments to wear until her stunning clothing. Since she was launched on the A-list in 2007 — Kardashian has been known for her epic style. Though her fashion sense has shifted and evolved over the years — her love for shapewear hasn’t changed.

Now, just three months after launching SKIMS — the mother of four is elevating her shapewear brand to the next level.

This is how Kim Kardashian came up with SKIMS

The SKIMS line consists of thousands of pieces of shapewear across a wide variety of shapes and sizes. For years, the KKW Beauty mogul has been cutting up her undergarments and piecing them together so that they fit properly under her various gowns and outfits.

I know what I want in this area, and that’s not the case with every project I work on,” Kardashian told Cosmopolitan. “I do get insecure and just ‘Oh, I hope you like it, I hope people understand this and it’ll translate.’ But this one, I’m like no, I got this. I know exactly how to make it comfortable and even a bit sexier.”

Clearly, the KKW Fragrance mogul isn’t the only woman on the globe searching for affordable (and highly wearable) shapewear. When SKIMS launched, TMZ reported that Kardashian and her team “pushed $2 million in product” within just MINUTES of the site launching. In fact, by the end of the first day, nearly the entire collection was sold out.

Those types of numbers are just “unprecedented for shapewear and undergarment brands.” In fact, Spanx first launched they made $4 million during their first year of business. SKIMS made half of that in minutes. Obviously, Kardashian knows what she’s doing with this.

Clearly– Kardashian was only getting her feet wet with the first launch of SKIMS. She just announced a SKIMS new luxe Cozy Collection. The new collection consists of a Knit Robe ($128), Knit Pants ($88), Knit Tanks ($52), and Knit Shorts ($58), made of a soft, plush breathable yarn. When the collection launches on Dec. 9 — it will be available in bone white, dusk, onyx, and cocoa.

“OMG I’ve been dying to share this with you guys . . . it’s probably my most exciting @skims launch yet!!!” Kim shared on Instagram. “The Cozy Collection has pajamas and loungewear pieces that I have been living in at home — I even sleep in this robe sometimes! It comes in 4 amazing colors, you guys are going to die when you feel how soft this fabric is . . . you will never want to take it off!”

This is clearly just the beginning for SKIMS.
