Kim Kardashian West Says This Is The Law School Class She Hates the Most
Kim Kardashian West is becoming a lawyer. She’s completed one year of law school already, via an apprenticeship at the #cut50 law offices. And she’s not waiting until she graduates to start making change. She is spearheading The Justice Project with #cut50 to help convicts overturn overly harsh sentences.
Kim Kardashian West presented The Justice Project to the Television Critics Association. Oxygen will air the series chronicling Kardashian West’s four current cases. She also gave an update on her law school progress. Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project premieres Sunday, April 5 at 7 p.m. on Oxygen.
This is the easiest law school class for Kim Kardashian West
Before she reveals the class she likes the least, Kim Kardashian West bragged about her acing Criminal Law. She calls it Crim Law for short.
“Crim Law is super easy to me, and I love all the details and everything that I have to learn,” she said. “I have to deal with my home and personal injury law and all that stuff, so it all makes sense to me when I read it. I put it into my real life, and it’s really interesting. “
Homework is one challenging part of law school
It’s not enough for Kim Kardashian West to spend 20 hours each week studying. She gets some on the job experience with legal paperwork.
“I think what’s been challenging – but once I do it, I get used to it – is helping with specific cases when we are investigating, writing memos for specific cases,” she said. “The paperwork that has to be done, which is really important, I never want to mess anything up. Luckily I have a really good team that is guiding me and looking through everything and helping me get through those challenging things for me.”
Kim Kardashian West will take the bar exam
With her freshman year of law school behind her, Kim Kardashian West is 1/4 of the way to becoming a lawyer. She plans to take the bar exam as soon as she’s eligible.
“I will definitely take it when my four years are up,” she said. “We just finished one year, so that would be 2022.”
This was the toughest law school class but she is getting better at it
Kim Kardashian West hated this class, not because of its difficulty, but because it was a slog to get through.
“Contracts was the most boring for me, but it’s picking up now,” she said. “Now it’s all making sense to me. But everyone would say that. They’ll say mostly through year one you’re all confused, and then right at the end, it clicks. So I’m at that clicking phase now.”
Kardashian West did have a leg up in Contracts. Being a businesswoman and entertainer, she saw lots of contracts before she got to law school.
“Had I been doing it out of school, I don’t think I would have the knowledge, or I wouldn’t care as much,” she said. “I deal with contracts on a daily basis in my own personal life, so I started off thinking that subject was my most boring. I would tell you how boring it is. Now I’m really, I think, pretty good at it. It all makes sense to me.”
