Kim Kardashian West Proves She’s Using Her Fame to Make a Difference

The Kardashian family has always had a hard time shaking their “famous for nothing” reputation. The family rose to fame quickly after a series of interesting events, however there is no denying that the women have built massive empires for themselves since they became one of the most well-known families in the world. And Kim Kardashian West recently proved once more that she’s working hard to use her fame to make a difference.

The Kardashians’ reputation has always suggested they’re famous for no reason

Ever since the Kardashians’ reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, premiered on E! back in 2007, the family has always been followed by the idea that they achieved fame for no reason. The Kardashians’ father, Robert Kardashian, was one of the lawyers on O.J. Simpson’s defense team during his murder trial, which helped the family gain notoriety. Then, an explicit tape involving Kardashian West was released in the early 2000s, and it ended up actually improving her career by making her more well known. That, along with her modeling career and friendship with Paris Hilton, helped Kardashian West achieve fame in the early 2000s.

Kardashian West has worked hard on several occasions to use her fame for good

Regardless of how Kardashian West became famous, it’s hard to deny that she has done her best to create positivity with her immense fame. When Donald Trump was elected president, Kardashian worked hard to bring awareness to problems with the prison system, including freeing Alice Johnson, a woman who was sentenced to life in prison for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense. Plus, West has also donated plenty of money to various charities, including a $500,000 donation to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts from Kardashian West, her mother, and her sisters.  

She recently helped empower women while visiting Armenia

Kardashian West recently visited Armenia with her family, and she appears to have had a very powerful experience during her visit. In addition to visiting where her family comes from and getting baptized in one of Armenia’s most well-known cathedrals, Kardashian West and her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, met with women entrepreneurs while visiting an Armenian nonprofit to learn how the women are helping to build Armenia’s economy. Several users told Kardashian West they are proud of what she’s doing. “I love you for always being a good example,” one user wrote.

Kardashian West has worked hard to improve her reputation among the public

Though Kardashian West has millions of fans who love her, there is no denying the Kardashians have always had a target on their backs for their fame. However, Kardashian has worked hard to use her fame for great causes while simultaneously building her reputation among the public. Kardashian West also recently enrolled in law school, where she is working to earn her degree to make a difference in the same way she did by lobbying for Alice Johnson’s release from prison. It’s clear that, while her fame might not have come to her in a conventional way, she’s doing her best to use it for good causes.
