Is This the Reason Kourtney Kardashian Deleted Her Flat Tummy Co Instagram Posts?
If you keep up with the Kardashians, you know that Kourtney Kardashian champions clean and holistic health habits.
The eldest Kardashian sister often discusses and promotes healthy choices on her hit reality series, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. And she recently launched a Goop-esque website called Poosh, which showcases her healthy lifestyle and knowledge of the wellness space. However, her Instagram feed hasn’t always reflected that.
The Kardashian sister recently came under fire for promoting body shaming through their endorsements and advertisements with diet and weight loss company, Flat Tummy Co. In the wake of the backlash, Khloe Kardashian deleted her sponsored post (which sparked the scandal) and doesn’t appear to promote the company anymore.
Kourtney Kardashian Flat Tummy Co
Khloe isn’t the only Kardashian sister to delete an old advertisement with Flat Tummy Co — it appears Kourtney might have, too. According to Glamour, Kourtney advertised the brand to followers back in January 2019 but the post has since been deleted.
“#ad Back from Aspen and back on the @flattummyco meal replacement shakes…they’re exactly what I need right now. Day 3 on the program and I’m already feeling good again. I’m starting to see my tummy toning up nicely. Chocolate is my favorite, but they’ve got 20% OFF all their flavors right now so you guys should check them out,” she captioned a photo of her in a matching Calvin Klein bra and underwear set holding a water bottle filled with the brand’s chocolate shake.
Why did Kourtney Kardashian delete her Flat Tummy Co post?
Why did Kourtney Kardashian delete the post? To state the obvious, she probably wants to avoid more controversy — especially given the timing and the launch of her new website, Poosh.
In its first week, Poosh received mixed reviews with many calling her website “useless” or comparing it to Gwyneth Paltrow’s successful (and controversial) Goop. The eldest Kardashian sister has also been accused of being disconnected from the wellness space, as her reasons for creating Poosh are a bit off.
“I decided to launch Poosh because I felt that there was something missing in the healthy lifestyle space. Healthy living gets a bad rap; it’s as though if you care about what you put in — or on — your body, then you’re not sexy or cool. But this just isn’t true and Poosh is here to prove just that,” she wrote on her website’s “about” section.
“She said this despite our collective obsession with everything we put in/on our bodies is the foundation of several multibillion-dollar industries and at least a few other websites,” LA Magazine wrote in response, referring to Goop as “other websites.”
Her decision to delete the sponsored Flat Tummy Co post likely stems from the backlash from fans and celebrities after Khloe Kardashian recently shared a post with their products. However, it might also have something to do with whether or not it aligns with her perceived “lifestyle” that Poosh embodies.
