The Kardashian-Jenner sisters have never even pretended to be sugar, spice, and everything nice. They make some of their millions off airing their drama on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and they wouldn’t be entering their 15th season if the show was all hugs, hair-dyeing, and play dates with their kids.

Still, the season premiere took the drama to a whole new level with an all-out battle between eldest sister Kourtney Kardashian and middle sister Kim Kardashian-West. While fans speculate some of the recent conflict is orchestrated as KUWTK‘s bait (just wait until you see the hashtag the women are using in their argument on Twitter) it’s certainly intense and seems like it’s going to drive an entire season of tears and fights.

The down-low on the drama

The season 15 premiere revealed the origin of the drama: a unifying family Christmas card attempt gone horribly, horribly wrong. Kim attempted to organize a photo shoot around everybody’s hectic schedules, which naturally proved to be difficult. Kourtney refused to budge on her availability, leading Kim to attack her older sister, saying; “no one wants you in the f–cking shoot.”

The rest of the fight was just as colorful and painful to watch. Kim attacked Kourtney’s business prowess (or what she believed was a lack thereof) saying maybe if Kourtney had a comparable business to the rest of the sisters, she’d have room to talk. As Kourtney left the room, Kim called her “the least exciting to look at.” Ouch (also, untrue. Kourtney is gorgeous. We’ll leave it at that).

Kim felt mom-shamed

After cooling down and wiping off the initial tears, Kourtney and Kim spoke on the phone to try and resolve the situation, which only escalated. “You guys just have really different values than me,” Kourtney said, “I choose to be a mother to my three kids … I already work enough, more than I would like to.” The comment set Kim off, who seemingly took it as an attack on her parenting.

“You don’t do shit,” Kim replied. To which Kourtney called her a “distraught, evil human being,” and chose to skip her baby shower for third child Chicago West.

The sisters continued the drama on Twitter

… notably using the hashtag #KUWTK. If that’s any indication, this feud is less fire-fueled and more a result of serious promotional action from the one and only queen momager Kris Jenner.

All three Kardashian sisters got involved on Twitter as they live-tweeted the episode, appearing to not be over the feud. While Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe all posted too many threads to include here, they mentioned one another’s tweets and replied in a web of backlash over the argument. Khloe argued she tried to keep the peace (which Kourtney called her out on), Kourtney defended her position on the matter, and Kim typed out a few simple tweets including “#rude,” and then this gem that left us all just plain confused:

If Kim says not to question their relationship, we won’t. But nothing can keep us from questioning what on earth goes on in mastermind Kris Jenner’s brain.
