Kris Jenner Once Revealed Her Favorite Moment of 2012 — and It Was Even Bigger Than Granddaughter Penelope’s Birth

Throughout the years, Kris Jenner has made many memorable memories as the matriarch of the famed Kardashian-Jenner family. While some moments stick out more than others, it’s likely Jenner cherishes all of the rememberings she’s made with her family.

But there’s one memory from 2012 that the momager cites as her favorite moment of the year — and shockingly, it’s one that tops the birth of her second oldest grandchild, Penelope Disick.

Kris Jenner considers being interviewed by Oprah in 2012 as one of her life’s highlights

When the Kardashian-Jenners sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a special episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter in 2012, it was a huge deal.

Though many already were well-acquainted with the merry adventures and misadventures of America’s first television family, there were still some questions about the famous bunch that fans wanted answers to — and Oprah had it covered.

During the two-part special, the former talk show host got to the bottom of those burning questions surrounding the famous bunch and learned a thing or two about the “reigning royal family of reality TV.”

From breaking down how the Kar-Jenner siblings really felt about their biggest scandals and controversies, to getting them to share their stance on fame, Oprah had the family opening up like never before.

Winfrey even got momager, Kris Jenner, to divulge in some very personal topics, like the past affair she had while married to Robert Kardashian Sr. and her true feelings toward Kim Kardashian West’s 72-day marriage.

The Oprah interview is Kris Jenner’s favorite memory of 2012

Being interviewed by Oprah was such a groundbreaking moment in Jenner’s career that she previously revealed it’s her favorite memory of 2012 — even though that was also the year her granddaughter Penelope was born.

A month after Oprah’s Next Chapter: The Kardashians aired on OWN, Kourtney Kardashian, gave birth to her second child, Penelope Disick, on July 8.

Though the birth was an emotional — and heartwarming — experience for the family, it actually didn’t top Jenner’s favorite moments of 2012 list, which Scott Disick called her out on during a special episode of KUWTK.

While sitting down to discuss never-before-seen clips and the emotional moments from the past season, Jenner revealed, “I think my favorite day of last year was probably the day when Oprah [Winfrey] came over.”

It wasn’t long before Disick chimed in with, “Not the day when Penelope was born? You heartless wench,” effortlessly putting the momager on blast.

While Jenner likely considers Penelope’s birth a memorable moment from 2012, it sounds like sitting down with Oprah meant a little bit more to her than the little girl’s arrival.
