Kristen Bell Remembers Halloween As an ‘Emotional Rollercoaster’ for This ‘Frozen’-Related Reason

Not only is Kristen Bell a part of the hottest animated children’s movie, Frozen 2, but she also has two young daughters to enjoy it with. Sometimes though, it’s not as great as it sounds.

You may be surprised at the emotional anguish the role has caused Bell when it comes to her daughters and one very specific Halloween costume.

Kristen Bell was bummed to dress as Elsa for Halloween

In 2017, Bell hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live for Halloween, while Kimmel was off. She used the opportunity to dress up as Tom Selleck on the show. “I nailed it,” Bell said of her costume.

But when she returned home for Halloween with her daughters, she had to change her costume. During a conversation with Hot Ones host Sean Evans, Bell revealed that her daughter requested she dress as Elsa, instead of Anna, the character she voices in Frozen.

“You can’t look at a four-year-old and say, ‘No, I’m not going to make your Halloween as fun as I can make it.'”

Evans produced a photo of Bell in her Elsa costume. In which, a frown covered her face. “You look kind of bummed out,” Evans commented.

Bell explained that she’s bummed because Elsa gets all the attention. “Deep down it’s a little offensive. Just because it’s like, does anybody care about Anna? She’s the heart and soul of that film!” Bell said. Evans compared her anguish over Anna’s treatment as an “emotional rollercoaster.”

It’s great that Bell is so relatable as a parent. Many of us can remember a time we’ve put up with terrible characters to please our kids. Bell is a celebrity, but she’s also a mom, just like millions of other Americans.

Bell loves her ‘Frozen 2’ castmates

Being a part of the Frozen cast must-win Bell some major “cool points” from her young daughters. Although she didn’t admit this herself, her Frozen 2 co-star, Sterling K Brown said that’s what happened at his house.

One thing Bell did admit to loving about her role in Frozen and Frozen 2 is her castmates. “We have too much fun together,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “You don’t get to record with your castmates when you’re doing an animated movie, but every time we’re together to do press like this and stuff, we are in love with each other.”

Although she doesn’t have a typical office job, work can still get hard sometimes. But having co-workers that you really enjoy makes all the difference. Bell is one lucky lady because she gets to be a part of such a great cast.

‘Frozen 2’ will feature Kristen Bell’s favorite singer

The long wait for Frozen 2 is coming to an end soon. The film hits theaters November 22 and fans, adults and kids alike, can’t wait. Rumors are that we’ll find out where Elsa got her powers from, something that fans have been wondering about since the beginning.

The movie will feature seven new songs. One, Bell is particularly excited about. “You are going to get to see Jonathan Groff sing!,” she told ET. “Really sing! Finally!”

In fact, that is the one thing that Bell would change about the first film. “That would be my one critique,” she said. “We didn’t get enough Jonathan Groff singing.”

According to Bell, Groff, who voices the character of Kristoff, has the best singing voice ever. She even admitted that she’d listen to him singing the alphabet forever, if she could. That’s one heck of a compliment. We’ll have to see if Groff’s singing voice really lives up to all the hype from Bell this November.
