Is Kristian Haggerty Still Friends With ‘BIP’ Cast Post Demi Burnett Split?
It’s been over a month since Bachelor in Paradise alums Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty announced their breakup to the world via Instagram. The couple (who held the title of the first same-sex couple in the history of the franchise) was extremely well-liked by fans. After Chris Harrison pulled some strings and got Haggerty to join Burnett on the beach in Mexico, the two fell deeply in love and got engaged.

Unfortunately, the engagement was very short-lived and on October 31, 2019, the couple posted identical Instagram messages to share that they had split up. Though many people accused the former couple of faking their relationship as a way to gain publicity, both Haggerty and Burnett have maintained that their love was real. But, Haggerty didn’t only fall in love with Burnett on the beach, she also developed some really strong friendships with other members of the Bachelor in Paradise cast.
Haggerty developed strong friendships on Bachelor in Paradise
On this season of Bachelor in Paradise, Haggerty was the first and only person to reside on the beach who hadn’t previously been on a Bachelor franchise show. This could have easily made her an outsider. However, her kind and outgoing personality allowed her to connect with her fellow cast members right away. She developed some very strong friendships in addition to furthering her love story. But, has Haggerty been able to maintain said friendships in the wake of her breakup with Burnett?
If Instagram is to be believed, it looks as Haggerty’s breakup with Burnett hasn’t jeopardized her relationships with her Bachelor in Paradise friends. Just hours before she announced her own breakup, she showed love to her fellow BIP alum, Tayshia Adams. After Adams announced that she and John Paul Jones had made the decision to call it quits, Haggerty penned a sweet message to the 29-year-old.
Showing love on Instagram
“I just want to say I am so proud of the woman you are. You are such a light and it’s not easy sharing your love story with the world, but know you are so so loved and have so much ahead. Thank you for being the strong, genuine influence you have been throughout this whole crazy experience. What matters most is you both are doing what’s best for each of you. Life is so short and you will get through this and come out of all this that much stronger. I love you Tayshia! You got this,” Haggerty wrote.
In fact, Haggerty has been open to showing love and support to people even if they are also close friends with Burnett. She recently commented on a hilariously awkward video of one of Burnett’s closest friends, Hannah Godwin. “Hahahahaahhahahahaha why are you the best, most cutest human ever,” Haggerty wrote to Godwin. “Not gunna lie I’ve watched this clip at least 10x 😂” Haggerty followed up in a later comment.
The split hasn’t changed her Bachelor friendships
And the love that Haggerty sends out seems to be reciprocated by her Bachelor in Paradise buds. “Keep smiling ❤️ life is a blessing,” Haggerty wrote as a caption to a recent Instagram post. “My baeee!!! Hi,” Nicole Lopez-Alvar commented on the picture. “@nicolelovar it’s been a while.. can you unblock me now?? I’m still your biggest fan & I promise I’ll be more subtle! I PROMISE 🙏🏼 please,” Haggerty joked about being Lopez-Alvar’s biggest supporter. “Amen,” Jordan Kimball commented on the post. “Miss you homeboii,” Haggerty wrote. “Love your face!” Adams chimed in. “@tayshiaaa I love YOUR face T 🥰,” Haggerty pinged back.
It’s great that Haggerty has been able to maintain her friendships with her fellow Bachelor in Paradise castmates. Though her relationship with Burnett is over, at least she got some other important relationships from the highly-publicized experience.
