‘KUWTK’ Khloé Kardashian Subtly Hinted the Show Was Ending Before Anyone Realized
The Kardashian-Jenner family is arguably the most iconic reality television family to ever grace our TV screens. Kris Jenner and her six animated children kept fans laughing and crying together for years on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Finally, after 20 seasons on the air, the family announced their difficult decision to end the show.
But it turns out Khloé Kardashian predicted the show’s upcoming ending in a cryptic tweet last year.
The Kardashian-Jenners have announced the end of ‘KUWTK’
On Sept. 8, the Kardashian-Jenner family announced that their reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, was finally going off the air after 14 years and 20 seasons. Though fans weren’t ready for the show to end, there was noticeable tension among the older sisters in the seasons leading up to its last. Still, the women have filmed one final season, which will air in early 2021.
“To our amazing fans… We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children,” part of the family’s statement read. Kim Kardashian West told fans that she “wouldn’t be where I am today” without the show.
The show highlighted the sisters’ struggles in recent years
The Kardashian-Jenner family has given viewers an inside look at their lives since the show first premiered back in 2007. Since then, the daughters have grown tremendously, falling in and out of love, welcoming Kris’ 10 grandchildren, and learning some serious life lessons along the way. But as the show continued, the mounting stress did, too, which caused tension between Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé.
Eventually, Kourtney wanted to pull out of the show, and the sisters let her make her own decision. Back in July, Kourtney revealed that she had officially quit KUWTK but didn’t note that the entire show would be calling it quits shortly after.
Khloé Kardashian hinted at the show’s ending last year
Although there were rising tensions between the sisters, fans didn’t want the show to end. But Khloé Kardashian hinted in a cryptic tweet last year that KUWTK had almost run its course — though few people noticed it at the time.
In December 2019, a fan tweeted that they “can’t imagine” the show ending and “would miss so much feeling this close” to the sisters. But Khloé quote-tweeted the message and hinted that the show could not go on much longer. “Sad but all things must end,” Khloé replied. At the time, fans couldn’t tell if Khloé was serious or not, but less than a year later, the Kardashians have announced they’re saying goodbye to the cameras for good.
It seemed during the final seasons that Kim, Khloé, and Kris were the only family members who still wanted to take part in filming. Right now, it’s unclear if there will be any kind of spinoff series to follow the show, though the Kardashians are no strangers to a spinoff, so anything is possible.
