‘KUWTK’: Scott Disick Reveals Sofia Richie’s True Feelings About His Relationship With Kourtney Kardashian
Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian might not have worked out romantically, but they still seem to have a healthy relationship. They share three children — Mason, Penelope, and Reign — and still spend time together as a family.
While it’s great to see them getting along, it hasn’t always been easy for Disick’s girlfriend, Sofia Richie, to watch. In the Oct. 6 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the
A recap of the latest episode of ‘KUWTK’
In the Oct. 6 episode, the trip headed to Finland for spring break.
“I was first going to go to Finland as a girl’s trip, but it just seemed like a lot of the activities my kids would love. The dates that we were able to go ended up being Spring Break, and then Scott really wanted to come along,” Kardashian explained. “And then it was my idea to invite Sofia to come on our trip.”
While Disick appreciated the invitation, he said that that he initially felt uncomfortable given that Richie had previously told him that she felt “left out” during other trips.
“The past few months, we’ve been on a few trips where it’s been Kourtney, Sofia and the kids, and it’s been great,” he said. “But Sofia mentioned to me that she felt left out. And I don’t want to overstep anyone’s boundaries and make anyone feel left out.”
Disick tried to make the situation more comfortable
But it was just as awkward for him. If you’ve been keeping up, you probably know how the Kardashian-Jenners seemingly did not support Disick and Richie’s relationship early on, particularly because of their 16-year age gap. So it’s understandable why he was on edge trying to make everyone feel comfortable.
“Traveling with a family like this is a unique situation that not everybody does,” he explained. “I definitely think this trip, out of the other trips we’ve been on, has a little bit more pressure. The truth of the matter is…there are camera crews everywhere and tons of people walking around who Kourtney and I have known for over ten years, but Sofia’s never really done anything like this. So it’s hard.”
“I don’t want her to feel out of place, and she’s not as comfortable as I am,” he continued. “So I’m just trying to be conscious of everybody’s feelings.”
Disick also noted that it was a “hard and awkward situation,” particularly because of all the inside jokes and “inside things” he and Kardashian share.
“[Sofia’s] always like…you guys have your way…and it’s hard. She feels like she doesn’t fit in sometimes. I haven’t really had a second by myself to have a conversation and make her feel comfortable. She’s never been in this life that we’ve had for ten years. It’s a lot. I’m trying to juggle it, and being on camera is a lot for her.”
Richie and Kardashian eventually started to bond
As the trip progressed, Richie and Kardashian started to really hit it off. But Disick, on the other hand, was still a nervous wreck. And at one point, the Poosh founder called him out for being so “negative.”
Disick later opened up about how the stress of bringing the women together affected his attitude, saying, “It puts so much stress on me and then it turns into me being not happy. Like I’m not even fun to be around for anybody.”
He eventually explained his anxiety to Kardashian, who told him to relax.
“I think you put so much pressure on things to make everything perfect,” she said. “I don’t even mind if you [and Sofia] go off and do your thing, but if you’re in it, let’s enjoy what’s happening.”
After the conversation, Disick and Richie spent some time away from the rest of the group, which helped him loosen up.
In the end, the group wound up having a blast on the getaway.
“It’s nice to be able to all go together and experience it together,” Kardashian added.
