‘KUWTK’: The One Thing Kourtney Kardashian Said Corey Gamble Will Never Do Again
Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians revealed a huge argument between Kris Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, and Scott Disick. Their disagreement stems from Scott and Kourtney’s discipline methods with daughter, Penelope.
When did the drama between Kourtney Kardashian and Corey Gamble begin?
Jenner and Gamble have been dating since they met at a friend’s birthday party in 2014 after her split from Olympian Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn Jenner). Their relationship wasn’t public until 2015 but now Gamble is as much a part of KUWTK as the show even if the Kar-Jenner crew haven’t always gotten along with Gamble.
It’s fair to say the Kardashian-Jenner kids haven’t taken to Gamble like momager, Jenner would have liked. Longstanding issues with Khloe and Kanye West have lingered over the years. Fans aren’t too keen on the relationship, either.
Sunday night’s episode showed what promo clips have teased for weeks. Disick and Gamble get into a shouting match over Gamble’s comments about disciplining 7-year-old daughter, Penelope.
What happened during the argument on ‘KUWTK’?
It all began at the dinner table with Jenner, Gamble, Kim Kardashian West, Disick, and family friend, Jonathan Cheban. Kourtney admitted Penelope scratched the nanny, and she will no longer work for them.
“I think she blacks out and does these wild things,” Kourtney explained.
Gamble chimed in. “If a kid scratched you, can you pop the kid and it’s cool?” Kourtney was quick to defend her daughter saying, “No, but you could also say something to her, in the moment!”
Kardashian West also tried to de-escalate the situation. “You need to reach out to her and you need to say, ‘I am so sorry.'” Jenner’s advice was to prevent this kind of behavior in the first place, which prompted Gamble to re-state his stance.
“If P scratch me, I’m whipping her a–,” said Gamble.
Disick jumped in, heated. “My daughter?”
Instead of backing off, Gamble doubled down saying he’d spank “for sure.” The rest of the group sat, stunned in silence.
“Don’t ever talk about a child like that!” Disick yelled. This is when things really spiraled. Gamble and Disick pitted against one another in a verbal standoff.
“Get the f— outta here!” Disick shouted. Gamble responded. “If your kid scratched me in the face, you don’t think they deserve to be popped?”
Kourtney finally chimed in, “Not at all.” That should’ve been the end of the drama, but after the way tempers flared, it’s likely just getting started.
What is the one thing Kourtney Kardashian says Corey Gamble will ‘never’ do?
Jenner tried to soothe nerves by saying Gamble would never actually hurt the children, but the damage was done. Kourtney set a new boundary in place before storming off saying, “He will never be with my kids alone and if he does that in front of any of us there will be a f—ing issue.”
Kris later took to the confessional in tears. “I’m in a really good place with Corey in my life right now and I thought that he was finally in a good place with everyone else but this has really gotten out of hands,” she said. “It’s just too much.”
“We are never going to agree,” Kourtney said later. “I don’t want to have to not come to my mom’s house or not bring my kids here because I feel uncomfortable.”
Gamble later re-iterated in the confessional he does not want “to discipline her kids,” but wants them to understand consequences.” Ultimately, he hopes the family can move past all the drama and find peace.
“I understand how Kourtney and Scott feel but I can say what I want to say because that’s my opinion,” he added. “I just hope everyone can move on.”
It remains to be seen if Kourtney, Disick, and Gamble can get along after an explosion like this. If nothing else, it makes for good TV.
