Khloe Kardashian used to be one of the most popular members of the Kardashian family. With good humor and a love of practical jokes, she was thought of as the “fun” Kardashian for many years. These days, Khloe Kardashian has fallen a bit out of favor. She’s received a lot of criticism for the way she has handled certain tough situations in her life, including her contentious relationship with her ex-boyfriend and the father of her daughter, Tristan Thompson, and the way she has attacked some people (like Jordyn Woods) on social media.
It is possible that Kardashian will be opening herself up to even more backlash if the rumors regarding her new spinoff reality show are true. Fans have one major issue with the project, in particular, that could ultimately prove to be its downfall.
Khloe Kardashian’s ‘Revenge Body’ series
Khloe Kardashian was first introduced to viewers in 2007 when Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on television. For years, fans followed along with the famous family’s exploits, watching as the siblings dated, got married, had children, and went through various trials and tribulations. Out of all the sisters, Khloe Kardashian seemed to be the one who was the unluckiest in love — her marriage to Lamar Odom ended in divorce, while her relationship with Tristan Thompson resulted in a very public cheating scandal.
There was so much interest around Khloe Kardashian that she even got her very own spinoff in 2017 called Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian. The show features ordinary people who are struggling with their health and self-esteem who work with Kardashian to change their future. Contestants work with Kardashian’s personally-selected trainers, nutritionists, and stylists in order to get the ultimate revenge on those who might have maligned them. While the show has been panned by some critics who don’t like the superficiality, it has remained popular with many viewers.
Is Khloe Kardashian getting a new spinoff show?
In a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, viewers were brought along for the ride as Khloe Kardashian attended a production planning meeting for an upcoming spinoff show. While details were sparse regarding the new show, fans did get to catch a glimpse of a possible title for the show — Khloe and True Take the World.
A few other snippets about the show were teased in the episode, including the fact that the show will follow Kardashian and her baby daughter, True Thompson, as they go about their daily lives and that the show will mainly be filmed at Kardashian’s house. One thing that hasn’t been made public yet is how involved True’s father, Tristan Thompson, will be. It is uncertain whether or not he will ever make appearances in the show, but considering the contentious relationship between himself and Kardashian, it seems somewhat unlikely.
What do fans think about the concept?
After the episode discussing Kardashian’s new spinoff premiered, fans took to Reddit to discuss their thoughts. Most fans were in agreement that it was surprising that Kardashian would choose to place her child in such a public position. True Thompson already receives a lot of negative comments when Kardashian posts pictures on social media, so putting her as the focus of a new show only opens her up to even more criticism from trolls. A few people even stated that Kardashian seems to use her child as a “prop” and that out of all the Kardashian sisters, she “exploits” her child the most.
While there is no word on a release date for the new reality show yet, it seems as though this spinoff might actually happen. It will be interesting to see how fans react when and if Kardashian’s new series is released.
