Fans threw shade at Dorit Kemsley from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after the premiere episode. First, she was involved in a whole dog rescue debacle. Then, she (casually) tells cast member Erica Girardi she’d been robbed.

Fans threw shade at Dorit Kemsley from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after the premiere episode. First, she was involved in a whole dog rescue debacle. Then, she (casually) tells cast member Erica Girardi she’d been robbed.

Wait, what? Like Richards, Kemsley says her handbags and jewelry were lifted. While Girardi looked concerned during the episode, some fans weren’t buying it.

In fact some people speculated that perhaps Kemsley and her husband PK were doing something shady after being nailed with huge money problems.

PK Kemsley was sued in 2013 by the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, People reports. PK failed to pay back a $3.6 million casino marker he was given in 2009. Kemsley filed for bankruptcy in the UK in 2012, which removed all debt.

However, the high-end hotel insisted bankruptcy in the UK did not apply to the debt Kemsley owed to them, plus they were never notified. Even though Kemsley made a few payments to the Bellagio, mounting interest resulted in a debt of more than $2 million.

Most recently the Bellagio asked a judge to allow the hotel and casino to seize Kemsley’s assets to cover the remaining balance he owed. Dorit was also dealing with her own legality issues. She was embroiled in a lawsuit from her swim line business partner.

They try to sell their home

The Kemsleys claimed they wanted to sell their house because they had “outgrown” the mansion, Daily Mail reports. They initially asked $12.75 million but reduced the price to $8.995 million. The couple and their home were featured on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles too.

Million Dollar Listing realtors David Parnes and James Harris were hired to sell the home. However, following a broker’s open, the home was robbed, People reports. As a result, the couple pulled their home from the market.

Earlier this year, the person who robbed the Kemsley home was apprehended. Apparently the individual was targeting celebrity homes, which included Usher, Jason Derulo and Adam Lambert. The thief, 32-year-old Benjamin Eitan Ackerman stole more than 2,000 items, which included handbags, jewelry and fine art, Bravo’s The Daily Dish reports.

Some fans don’t buy it

Although police confirmed that the Kemsleys, along with other celebrities, were robbed, some fans still insist something fishy is occurring. One fan tweeted, “Robbed??” To which, another fan responded, “Sounds very crooked to me.”

One person wrote, “Finally watching #RHOBH and everything that comes out of @doritokemsley1 mouth is a lie!!! From the dog Lucy to her home allegedly being burglarized…” Cast member Kyle Richards happened upon the tweet and wanted to set the record straight. She wrote, “The police have actually found some of her things when they arrested the same person that burglarized Usher.”

However, fans still suspect something is off. “Was it a robbery of ur $4,000 handbags and Jewelry, Dorit? Or are U hiding assets hmm #rhobh RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley’s husband Paul facing seizure of assets,” one person tweeted. Another person wondered how the couple could be bankrupt but still spend money. C”AN someone PLEASE explain how a couple files bankruptcy but continues to spend millions on clothes, cars(Rose Gold Bentley), Parties, Jewelry etc &still owe millions to people! Where is the moral compass!”
