Why Kylie Jenner Believes The Jordyn Woods Scandal “Needed To Happen”

Just when you think the Jordyn Woods scandal is over for good, the Kardashians bring it right back up again. Kylie Jenner recently weighed in on the scandal and whether or not she missed her former best friend. If for some reason you don’t know about the drama that has been unfolding for the past few months (and if that’s the case, we’re very jealous) here’s a quick recap.

Jordyn Woods & Tristan Thompson

Months ago, the news broke that Woods had allegedly been caught kissing Khloe Kardashian’s then-boyfriend, Tristian Thompson. This was viewed as a major faux pas because Thompson is also the father of Khloe Kardashian’s one-year-old daughter, True. Woods and Jenner had been friends for years prior to the scandal and the pair even lived in Jenner’s home together. Woods was a huge support to Jenner throughout her “secret” pregnancy and had a very strong relationship with Jenner’s daughter, Stormi. She also had developed a relationship with the rest of the KarJenner clan, resulting in some of the Kardashians viewing her as “another little sister.”

Red Table Talk

When news of the scandal hit, Woods got pummelled with hate via her social media channels. When the bullying got to be too much for the 21-year-old to handle, she went on Jada Pinkett Smith’s show, Red Table Talk to tell her side of the story. That’s when things got even messier. In true Kardashian form (no pun intended), Khloe Kardashian took to her Twitter page to accuse Woods of dismantling the family between her, True, and serial cheater, Thompson.

Broken home

“Why are you lying Jordyn Woods? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!” the 35-year-old dramatically wrote. Kind of hard to discern if someone is being honest when you weren’t even there, but okay sis. Anywho, after being dragged through the mud, Khloe Kardashian eventually rescinded the part of her statement that accused Woods of being the sole reason her family broke up.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

After that, things began to simmer down a bit. That was until the KarJenner clan used the scandal for the two-part season finale of their never-ending reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The scandal once again gained massive attention for a couple of weeks and after the finale, we thought we’d heard the last of it. But, we should have known that the KarJenner’s love to milk a storyline dry.

In a recent preview for the seventeenth season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian put younger sister, Kylie Jenner, on the spot and asked her about her former friend. “So, Jordyn. Do you miss her, want to be friends with her” the Good American owner asked. Kylie Jenner then gave a surprising response.

“I think that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen for a reason. For me, for her, for you, for everybody. She was my security blanket. She lived with me. We did everything together, I just felt like, ‘Oh, I have Jordyn. I don’t need anything else.’ And I feel like there’s a part of me that needed to grow without her. Sometimes people are there for certain reasons at certain times in your life and then not there for others” the Kylie Cosmetics owner said calmly.

Moving on

We’re actually not mad at this mature response from Jenner. Part of growing up is learning that friendships don’t always stand the test of time. The two young women both seem to be accruing success apart from each other and it’s nice to see that Jenner doesn’t seem to hold any ill will towards Woods. Hopefully, in time, all the KarJenner’s can put this situation behind them and move on for good. But, we won’t hold our breath.
