He’s doing it all for us. After months of waiting, the musical score for HBO’s drama series, Euphoria, will be available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most music platforms. When does the score premiere? What songs are included on the album? Here’s what we know about Labrinth’s latest release.

The ‘Euphoria’ official score will be available for streaming on Oct. 4, 2019

Our musical prayers have been answered. Months after the finale of Euphoria’s first season, the official score has a premiere date. Euphoria’s musical score, written by Labrinth, will be available for streaming on Oct. 4, 2019. This score is complete with 26 songs used through HBO’s hit drama series.

“My experience with Euphoria has made me a better musician,” Labrinth said in a statement. “It was a dream come true to give wings and add magic to the different storylines. It was a collaborative effort among Sam Levinson, the crew and the cast — I only added texture to an already phenomenal show. I hope that anyone who listens to the music embraces feeling something.”

During an interview, Labrinth elaborated on his musical inspirations for HBO’s ‘Euphoria’

The songs used for this drama series featured a broad mix of styles, from Beyoncé to BTS. Through it all, Labrinth captured the emotions of Rue and the energy of each episode with the musical score. During an interview with Vulture, the artist elaborated on his stylistic choices for HBO’s Euphoria.

“The incredible thing about [Euphoria creator Sam Levinson] is that his first approach was to push me to be myself,” Labrinth said. “He was like, ‘I love the way you do things, I don’t want to get in the way of that, and I don’t want to push you to be a score writer or to be a character that you’re not.’”

“It’s really beautiful because most people you work with in this industry kind of have a specific thing in mind, they ask you not to be yourself,” the artist continued. “It made it pretty easy for me to just go, ‘What would I do musically, if I were going to orchestrate this scene or create an energy?’ It was pretty incredible.”

When does ‘Euphoria’ season 2 premiere on HBO?

We have good news and bad news. Thankfully, fans haven’t seen the last of Rue, Jules, and the cast of HBO’s Euphoria. Earlier this year, HBO announced they renewed this drama series for a second season. However, this is no official premiere date for the upcoming season. Some fans predict it will premiere around June 2020.

“Euphoria creator Sam Levinson has built an incredible world with an extraordinary cast led by the supremely talented Zendaya. We are so grateful that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series,” said Francesca Orsi, EVP, HBO Programming in a press release. “We look forward to following these complex characters as their journeys continue through the challenging world they inhabit.”

Labrinth’s official score for HBO’s drama series, Euphoria, premieres digitally on Oct. 4, 2019. A vinyl version of the score will premiere at a later date. Until then, fans can listen to “All For Us,” featuring Zendaya, on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
