Lauren Conrad’s Favorite Face Mask Leaves Her Face ‘Bright Red’ But Delivers ‘Instant Results’
Lauren Conrad first came to TV screens as a teen, sharing her high school life on a reality television series. But she’s certainly not a kid anymore.
These days Conrad is an entrepreneur, author, wife, and mother. As she works to keep up with it all, she has a few tricks up her sleeve to help her look her best. And one of them is a face mask that doesn’t mess around.
Who is Lauren Conrad?
According to Us, in 2004, MTV decided to capitalize on the success of Fox’s reality show The O.C. They started their own series called Laguna Beach: The Real O.C. The new show featured the personal lives of high school students living in the tony California neighborhood.
Conrad was one of those teens, and after two seasons she was popular enough to land a spinoff show, The Hills. This series followed Conrad and her best friend, Heidi Montag, as they struck out to make their way in Los Angeles.
The Hills aired for six seasons, but midway through the fifth season, Conrad left the show. Although most of the cast reunited in 2019 for The Hills: New Beginnings, Conrad opted not to join them.
Speculation about why she’s stayed away focused on the possibility that there was friction between her and the other cast members, but it may just be because she’s pretty busy with her own life. Since leaving The Hills, Conrad has launched two fashion lines, published nine books, gotten married, and had two kids. And her achievements don’t stop there.
Beauty tips for a busy life
Conrad’s many enterprises keep her busy, so she’s had to streamline her routine. Although her favorite beauty products are obviously ones she’s helped develop for her new beauty line, Lauren Conrad Beauty, she also has a few other tricks up her sleeve to keep her looking fresh.
Most of her tips fit into the natural approach that informed her vegan, cruelty-free, ethically-sourced, and environmentally-friendly line of beauty products. She told E!Magazine that she greets the morning with a cup of coffee mixed with almond milk, cinnamon, agave, and protein powder. She tries to end her day with a warm bath with added soaking salts. In between, she opts for healthy food, such as fruit, nuts, vegetables, and grilled fish.
All of that sounds very nurturing and gentle, but there’s one thing Conrad swears by that doesn’t sound quite so soft.
Her favorite face mask leaves her skin “bright red”
One of Conrad’s recognizable traits is her smooth, glowing skin. As she told New York Magazine, she relies on a once-a-week application of a particular face mask to keep it that way. The Green Apple Peel Exfoliating Mask is made by Juice Beauty, and she swears it gives her immediate results.
“I don’t have very sensitive skin, but when I take this off, my face is bright red,” she explains. “It does burn a little, but I don’t mind. I really feel like it’s working.”
Conrad says that she uses the mask once a week, and by the next morning her skin feels great.
If you’re interested in trying Conrad’s favorite face treat, this mix of alpha and beta hydroxy acids is available in full strength, sensitive, and even a pregnancy formula that doesn’t contain vitamin A. You’ll find the Green Apple Peel Exfoliating mask at several retailers, including the Juice Beauty website, Dermstore, and Ulta, and it costs $48.
Conrad has invested a great deal of her career in discovering the best in beauty. Using a skin treatment that leaves your face bright red might sound a little intimidating, but for plenty of fans, Conrad knows best.
