‘Laurens’ has been watching ‘The Undoing’ during her first trimester
The Sorrentino’s discussed their pregnancy on the Here’s The Sitch podcast. During the episode titled “A Little Situation,” Lauren revealed what she’s been binge-watching during the first trimester of her pregnancy — HBO’s limited series The Undoing, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.
“[Mike’s] not allowed to talk during that show,” Lauren said during the episode. She revealed how during the finale episode, Mike decided abandon his phone and pick his wife’s brain.
Mike wanted to talk business, but Lauren’s focus was on the stress-inducing finale of The Undoing.
“I said, ‘No, you’re not invested. I’ve been invested the whole time, I’ve been invested the last 30 minutes — you need to not talk for the remainder of the show,'” she recalled telling her husband.
Mike agreed The Undoing was a “good show,” calling it one of his wife’s favorites.
Lauren Sorrentino says ‘The Undoing’ is ‘film quality’ television
As a fan of the series, “Laurens” celebrated the work that went into creating The Undoing.
“[The Undoing] was great,” she said. “I missed shows like that. A lot of work went into that show. [The] writing, creativity, the acting ability, the level of professionalism behind the scenes [and] in front of the scenes, writing it, producing it — it’s just incredible.”
The Sorrentino’s were especially excited about The Undoing what with being stuck inside. They have been following the stay-at-home orders imposed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic like so many of us.
“I felt very privileged to watch a show that good from the comfort of our bed every week,” Lauren added. “[The Undoing is] almost film quality — like really epically great films, but every week from your bed.”
