‘Legacies’: Julie Plec Says Someone from ‘The Originals’ Might Appear in Season 2
Season 2 of Legacies will start later this year. The show shares the same universe as The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Julie Plec said a familiar face will pop up next season. Find out what she said and more about what’s to come.
There will be a new vampire next season
A lot of fans might be looking forward to a character from one of the previous shows to appear. However, they will meet someone new next season.
“We’re really excited about a new character that we’re introducing. We really want to bring in an old, old, old-world vampire,” Plec told TV Guide. “We made the rule for our school that the vampires who go to our school actually need to be teenagers… not hundreds of years [old] because then you get into some creepy math.”
She continued, “But we want to introduce a vampire who kind of got desiccated when he was 17 in maybe the 15th century and now wakes up in the 21st century and realizes that all the rules of being a vampire have changed and that he does not fit in into this very modern world.”
She previously listed the characters she would like to bring back
The showrunner also has been keeping in mind who she would like to return in the Legacies show. Some of the characters are from The Vampire Diaries.
“There’s plenty of people I’d love to see,” she told TV Guide. “I’d love to see Bonnie (Katerina Graham). I’d love to see Caroline obviously. I’d love to see Freya (Riley Voelkel) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Auntie Rebekah (Claire Holt). … The door is always open, and it’s just really a matter of being able to match up interest from these actors and story opportunity at the right time.”
Now it sounds like fans might get to see someone from the list, or another familiar face. Find out what she said about Season 2.
Plec said there will be an opportunity to see someone from The Originals
The show creator talked about how a character from The Originals could come into play next season. She kept her statement pretty vague.
“I think there’s going to be an opportunity this year to see some of The Originals,” Plec said according to Cinema Blend. “I don’t know who and I don’t know when, but the way that Hope’s storyline is shaping up, there’s definitely a link to the family that got left behind … that we will have to address at a certain point. And it would be nice to see a familiar face.”
Season 2 will start Thursday, October 10. Fans will have to wait and see which cast member will make it onto the show.
