‘A Recipe for Seduction’ is a first for Lifetime
Lifetime is known for its signature style of programming, but the network’s special partnership with KFC is part of a new adventure. A Recipe for Seduction marks Lifetime’s first mini-movie and according to a press release, the first piece of content of its kind to be custom branded too.
Some social media users believe the movie has sprinklings of fanfiction in it and can’t believe KFC’s mascot is going live-action in a movie. On Lifetime’s Instagram page, one commenter wrote, “No, Yaw done made the Colonel of KFC sexy.” Another added, “Is this real or is lifetime real good at trolling?”
It’s definitely real, as is the food offer that KFC is throwing in.
KFC is running a snack special too
In the spirit of the holiday movie and the colonel’s innovative 11 Herbs & Spices, KFC is teaming up with Uber Eats to ensure people can grub while watching. Customers who order through the delivery app will receive six free chicken tenders with a purchase of $20 or more. The offer is valid from Dec. 13 through Dec. 19.
For those who are worried they’ll miss the A Recipe for Seduction premiere, Lifetime will make it available on its website, the Lifetime apps, and most on-demand platforms.
It’s unclear whether any clues to KFC’s prized recipe will actually be revealed, but watch Lopez bring Colonel Sanders to life in a way most fans haven’t seen before when this debuts. Tune in to Lifetime on Dec. 13 at noon for the 15-minute short.
