Lindsay Lohan had been doing various acting and modeling work since she was three years old. However, her first moment of fame came when she starred in the popular 1998 movie The Parent Trap at the age of 12.

In the next several years, Lohan would continue to be a well-known face in Hollywood. She went on to star in other successful films such as Life Size (2000), Freaky Friday (2003), Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), Mean Girls (2004), and Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005).

She also ventured into music and released two albums.

In the early 2000s, it seemed as if Lohan was poised to become a long-lasting Hollywood star. Yet, behind the scenes, she was struggling to live life with immense fame.

Lohan became a fixture in the party scene of Los Angeles. Paparazzi followed her everywhere as she went from one club to another. Additionally, she picked up a drug habit and ended up having multiple run-ins with the law. She made headlines often in the mid-2000s for things such as DUI arrests, drug charges, and reckless driving.

In 2010, Lohan told Vanity Fair that she did not have enough guidance as a young adult to navigate life. “I was 18, 19 — with a ton of money and no one really here [in Los Angeles] to tell me that I couldn’t do certain things,” she said. Lohan also revealed: “I would look up to those girls … the Britneys and whatever. And I would be like, ‘I want to be like that.'”

Her life got so out-of-control that she reportedly went from having a net worth of $30 million to just $800 thousand today.

Lohan ended up spending a lot of time in rehab to sort out her problems. For much of her 20s, she only appeared in a few movies and guest-starred occasionally on a few TV shows.

These days Lohan spends a lot of time in other countries

Lindsay Lohan is no longer a tabloid fixture like before because for the past several years, she has chosen to live more privately.

In 2016, she began dipping her toes into the hospitality business in Greece. She opened up a nightclub in Athens before moving on to setting up resorts in Mykonos and Rhodes. Additionally, Lohan starred in a reality series on MTV called Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club about her Mykonos resort.

Lohan has also decided to move to Dubai. She told W Magazine in 2018 about her new home: “There’s a certain calmness that I find there. There’s no paparazzi, no cameras; that’s a big deal for me. I do really appreciate having the life where I can just go outside and not have to worry.”

Is Lohan preparing a comeback single?

In August 2019, Virgin Radio Dubai premiered a teaser for a song by Lohan called “Xanax.” Radio host Kris Fade explained that the track is “about anxiety and pressure and taking care of yourself.”

This came after Lohan posted a photo back in June of herself in a recording booth, so it seems that she is quite serious about making a music comeback. There has been no information yet about the song’s release date, but Virgin Radio Dubai said that it would come out “very, very soon.”
