Lindsay Lohan has no problem being open and honest.

The actress recently revealed her reasoning behind opening Lohan Beach Club in Mykonos, Greece on her new MTV series Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club and it is one you may not have seen coming.

A painful past was the main reason

On last night’s premiere of Lohan’s brand new MTV series Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, she reveals what brought up the decision to open her third business venture.

While discussing a disappointing first meeting Lohan and creative partner, Panos Spentzos, had with their new VIP hosts, the actress revealed her strive behind running a successful club.

“We have a business to run, so there’s no emotion,” she stated. “The second you become emotional, I’m going to become Putin. I have no emotion when it comes to money and business. I mean, you know me from when I was hit on that beach.”

Lohan is referring to a time back in 2016 when a video surfaced of Lohan getting into a physical altercation with then-fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, while in Mykonos.

The video showed Tarabasov grabbing Lohan by the arm and twisting it behind her back after she threw a phone out of an open-top car.

Because of Lohan’s painful past in Mykonos, the actress made a vow to herself that she would one day own that beach and make sure that everyone feels safe.

“I was in a very tumultuous relationship,” Lohan admitted. “I was in a different place in my life. Instead of crying and getting angry, I said, ‘I’m going to own this beach one day.’ Because I always want everyone to feel safe. … I made it something that is meaningful to me.”

Lindsay Lohan’s abusive relationship made headlines

Since Lohan and Tarabasov began dating in 2016, the two have been spotted multiple time getting into altercations.

One instance was when guests in a hotel in London heard the couple arguing in one of the rooms.

Neighbors called the police and it was revealed that Egor Tarabasov tried to strangle Lindsay Lohan.

The actress has revealed that Tarabasov has put his hands on her multiple time throughout their relationship and she was too in love with him to see the person he really was.

Around the time the couple went their separate ways, Lindsay Lohan opened up about her abusive relationship during an interview with Mail on Sunday by stating, “I realize now you can’t stay in a relationship just for love,” she said. “No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry.”

Lohan’s mother was relieved when the two called off their engagement in 2017 stating, “Egor was too young and at the end got abusive. Of course, as a mother who has been a victim of abuse, and I do charities for abused women, I was very happy to see her get out.”

Lohan will continue to build her empire

On Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, viewers are able to get an in-depth look of what it takes to build an empire from the ground up.

Lindsay Lohan is determined to show the world that greatness can come from even your darkest moments.

The actress gets candid about her journey to becoming her own boss and living by her own rules.

Being in the spotlight really knocks people down over a period of time, but Lindsay Lohan is ready to distance herself from her difficult past and continue to grow her empire.
