Before dating her current boyfriend, Vonn has been linked to many high-profile men. Vonn was married to former skier Thomas Vonn from 2007 to 2013. After her divorce, she dated golfer Tiger Woods. She has also been romantically linked to NFL coach Kenan Smith.

Vonn told Extra she is still friendly with Woods and supports his career. “I support him. We’re friends, we congratulate each other… it’s really nice to see him playing so well again,” she said.

Who is Lindsey Vonn dating?

As of this writing, Lindsey Vonn is dating P.K. Subban, a defenseman for the NHL’s Nashville Predators. Vonn gushed about how supportive Subban is. Earlier in her season, when Vonn had to take a break so she could recover from a knee injury, Subban tried to cheer her up when she found it difficult to watch a ski race. “It’s a great thing that I have such an upbeat boyfriend,” Vonn told The Associated Press. “He runs around in a pajama suit making me laugh and that takes my mind off of things. He’s just always positive and happy and maybe a little too energetic at times. But it definitely helped me mentally to be in Nashville and be around him and not focus so much on skiing but just getting healthy and working as hard as I can,” said Vonn.

How Lindsey Vonn and P.K. Subban met

Vonn told Extra the story of how she and Subban met. She said their first meeting occurred during the ESPYs. However, Vonn was dating someone else at the time. After her relationship ended, she said Subban began to pursue her. “He got my number and was very persistent… He came to visit me on Christmas Day. That was the first time I spent a really good time with him… he went in the lion’s den and met my whole family,” Vonn said in her Extra TV interview.

In February 2019, at the age of 34, Vonn announced her retirement. She felt it was necessary to step away from the sport because of multiple injuries. Vonn wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram to let her fans know about her reasons for retiring:

It’s been an emotional 2 weeks making the hardest decision of my life, but I have accepted that I cannot continue ski racing. I will compete at the World Championships in Downhill and SG next week in Åre, Sweden and they will be the final races of my career. I have always pushed the limits of ski racing and it has allowed me to have amazing success but also dramatic crashes.

My body is broken beyond repair and it isn’t letting me have the final season I dreamed of. My body is screaming at me to STOP and it’s time for me to listen.

Although Vonn pushed through over the years so she could compete, she admits her body has become worn. “It’s not an easy thing to feel your bones hitting together and continue to push through it,” Vonn told the Associated Press. Her persistence paid off, and she won a Bronze medal in the final race of her career.
