Lisa Vanderpump Is Hopeful About Vanderpump Dogs Spinoff Show

Lisa Vanderpump was down a reality show this year after she quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The restaurant mogul also stars and producers the Bravo spinoff Vanderpump Rules. Not content with only one show on the air, the animal activist has been continuing to push for the Vanderpump Dogs spinoff around her dog rescue foundation.

Fans of RHOBH might recall that when Puppygate started during season 9, one of the rumors was that Vanderpump was shooting for a spinoff. Since the whole drama with the rescue dog occurred in her foundation, there was gossip that it was all blown out of proportion to have Vanderpump Dogs name in the press.

It’s not certain when the spinoff idea came about, but Vanderpump has teased her intentions of developing a show around her animal rescue center.

“I would love to say that’s true. But, you know, you’re just gonna have to ask Bravo. But I’m not denying it. I think you should ask Bravo, because, you know, I don’t want to get in trouble,” Vanderpump told Page Six during BravoCon. “But I think that’s an excellent idea. And if it’s not going to happen, it should happen. But it might happen, but I’m not allowed to say anything at all.”

Lisa Vanderpump relives the moment she quit ‘RHOBH’

Vanderpump quit RHOBH during season 9 of the series after she was called out for allegedly leaking stories to the media. The Bravo star was going through a difficult time mourning the loss of her brother as well as opening new ventures that she felt she didn’t need the added drama.

“I had a great time on Housewives,” Vanderpump told People. “But to have negativity during a time in my life when I needed to try to be positive … I decided it was over.”

That was not the first time Vanderpump felt like she was being attacked by the entire cast. Recalling that previous incident, she decided it was time to leave the franchise.

“I’ve been in a position where the whole cast has been against me before,” Vanderpump added. “But this time, our foundation was taking a bashing from the women, and it didn’t deserve it. And suddenly, to start dealing with them all screaming and shouting at me on that first trip [to the Bahamas], I thought, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ And that was really it.”

Lisa Vanderpump avoiding former co-stars?

Vanderpump was one of many Bravo stars that appeared during BravoCon. Also at the convention were her former co-stars from RHOBH. None cross paths with the restaurant mogul and has a possible explanation as to why.

“There was a minute that I was kind of locked in my dressing room and I’m wondering what was going on outside. But no, I didn’t see anybody,” Vanderpump told Us Weekly. “I mean, luckily for me, because coming here, that feel-good factor, it was fine. But no, Bravo probably arranged it so I didn’t have to. But I don’t know. You’d have to ask them.”

Vanderpump doesn’t seem to be ready to face her former friends and doesn’t care to either. She will next be appearing on the new season of Vanderpump Rules when it returns on January 7 to Bravo.
