Lisa Vanderpump from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is about to watch what appears to be her most challenging season yet. Vanderpump is on the outs with a number of cast members. However no one has exactly been specific about just why.

Cast member Kyle Richards recently appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan and said this about her relationship with Vanderpump.  “My status right now with Lisa is not good,” she said. “I’m sad to say we’re not speaking at the moment.”

Vanderpump’s other show, Vanderpump Rules exposes the challenges of running a business and dealing with emotional employees. She’s been on reality television since 2010 and has experienced a number of bumps and bruises. So why do it?

Vanderpump isn’t sure if she’ll continue

Vanderpump admits the latest season of RHOBH was so brutal, she’s unsure if she’ll continue with the series in the future. “It’s my ninth season and I had a very difficult year and after doing Vanderpump Rules and opening a new business, things got very complicated. So I’m in most of the season, but it got a bit complicated,” she said on The Talk, People recounts.

“Then I’ve thought, ‘Am I crazy for going back?’ And I think anybody that’s watched the show, you know when they’ve seen, kind of be under attack a little bit, it’s been hard,” she continues. “But then I’ve also gained so much from this show.”

But this is why she does it

Vanderpump recently appeared on Yahoo Finance to discuss why she continues with reality television. “Having been on a reality show for nine years has been challenging,” she admits. “But it’s been incredibly rewarding.”

“It’s been rewarding financially to promote businesses as well as causes like LGBTQ rights,” she continues. “But it’s also been an unbelievable platform that I have used and Bravo has really supported me.”

She admits that reality television receives its fair share of criticism but that Bravo has given her the platform to support LBGT rights, suicide prevention and her fight against the Yulin Dog Meat festival too.

Plus it’s given her an opportunity to get involved here

Vanderpump is a fierce animal rights activist and even opened her own rescue. Most recently one of her rescue pups was part of the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.

During the event, Vanderpump tweeted, “Go Violet!!!!! Our very own #Vanderpup, Violet Vanderpump, is in today’s #PuppyBowl !!! From a @VanderpumpDogs rescue to a Star! Did you see her in this week’s @People Magazine? Make sure to tune in today to the #PuppyBowl on @animalplanet ! #GoViolet#TeamRuff.”

Vanderpump is also planning to launch a new restaurant in Vegas. Vanderpump Cocktail Garden is slated to open in April 2019. Early hints point to a potential for more reality television too.
