Lisa Vanderpump Gives Fans a Sneak Peek at Her New Las Vegas Restaurant. Will It Be the Next SUR?
Lisa Vanderpump is expanding her restaurant empire yet again. The Vanderpump Rules and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is getting ready to open Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
The hip nightspot promises to bring “ a taste of Los Angeles to Las Vegas” and will combine elements from Vanderpump’s other restaurants, including SUR and Tom Tom.
Vanderpump Cocktail Garden opens April 1
A grand opening celebration for Vanderpump Cocktail Garden is scheduled for March 30, followed by an official opening on April 1. Based on Instagram comments, it seems that many Pump Rules fans are already making plans to visit, with hopes of running into Lisa Vanderpump or other Vanderpump Rules cast members in the process.
Earlier this month, Vanderpump shared a short video of people working on the entrance to the restaurant along with the comment “Oh geez sh** just got real.”
The interiors look gorgeous
Unsurprisingly, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden looks amazing. The @vanderpumpvegas Instagram account shared a sneak peek of what the Nick Alain-designed interior will look like, with dark green walls accented by lush plants. The restaurant will feature an outdoor-style dining area, towering trees, and romantic lighting, as well as booths in the lounge area. It’s located between The Colosseum and the entrance to the Forum Shops.
The menu is still under wraps, but we know it will feature cocktails similar to those on the menu at TomTom as well as small bites, like ahi tuna plantain tacos and a play on a traditional beet salad.
“I have always loved Las Vegas — it has always been a dream of mine to see our brand in lights at the iconic Caesars Palace,” Vanderpump said in a statement at the time the restaurant was announced. “Vanderpump Cocktail Garden will combine the sexy atmosphere of our other establishments injected with the Vegas energy that brings millions of guests who visit year after year.”
See Lisa Vanderpump in person
Fans know they can stop by TomTom and SUR and possibly see one of their favorite Bravolebrities in person. While there’s no guarantee you’ll spot Lisa herself (or other cast members) if you drop into Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, you can guarantee a Lisa Vanderpump sighting by attending Roses and Rosé on Thursday, May 9. That’s when she’ll be hosting a “night of intrigue” with a DJ and free-flowing rosé and cocktails. Tickets are $250.
What about ‘Puppygate’?
Vanderpump’s newest restaurant venture is likely a welcome distraction from the RHOBH ‘Puppygate’ drama. After fellow housewife Dorit Kemsley rehomed a puppy from Vanderpump’s dog rescue without letting Vanderpump know, it turned into a major point of tension between castmembers. Some even accused Vanderpump of orchestrating the entire drama as a way to promote a possible spinoff show called Vanderpump Dogs.
In an emotional blog post for Bravo that was published on March 6, Vanderpump shared her side of the story, saying that the conflict has destroyed her friendship with Kyle Richards and that the entire experience has been unpleasant. Going forward, she wrote, “I choose to focus on the excellent work my foundation does on a daily basis.”
