These Are the Films You Can See With Your MoviePass Right Now

In recent weeks, it has become increasingly frustrating for MoviePass subscribers to see the films they want to see (unless that film happens to be Slender Man). After all, showtimes and entire films have been disappearing from the app seemingly at random on a day to day basis. But now, MoviePass has finally made it clear what films you will be available to see with your subscription and when.

Going forward, the films you can see with your MoviePass will still vary from day to day. It’s not as if every wide release will just receive a blanket ban for several weeks. Rather, you might be able to see it on a Wednesday, but not a Saturday. Thankfully, you’ll now at least know about this in advance.

These will be all of your movie options for the next 10 days, according to MoviePass’ website:

Crazy Rich Asians

Crazy Rich Asians | Warner Bros. Pictures

As you can see from this schedule, if you mostly use MoviePass to see the big studio releases, doing so over the next few weeks is going to be a bit of a hassle, though not impossible. You can still see Crazy Rich Asians, for example, but not on Friday or Saturday, when most people tend to go to the movies.

Weirdly, though, it’s not like MoviePass is just banning all new movies on Friday and Saturday as a policy. The Happytime Murders, for instance, is going to be available on its opening day. Clearly, MoviePass’ plan of blocking wide release movies for two weeks has not come to pass.

You’ll also notice that all of the more limited release films, such as The Miseducation of Cameron Post, are available every single day. So going forward, if you use your MoviePass to see a lot of films like that, you’re still going to be able to do so just about every day.

What’s still unclear is how limited showtimes will continue to be going forward. This schedule only promises that you’ll be able to see the movies listed at some point during the given day. But does that mean every showtime other than one at 10:15 p.m. could disappear? This is a question that will be answered in the coming days, and it will be a key part of deciding whether the service is still a good deal.
