‘Little People, Big World’: Amy Roloff Said She’s Still Not Engaged to Boyfriend Chris Marek on Instagram
Amy Roloff has been through a rollercoaster of emotions these past few years. On Little People, Big World, we’ve seen her adjust to her divorce from Matt Roloff and make her ultimate decisions regarding what she wants to do with Roloff Farms. It hasn’t all been bad, though. While Matt’s relationship with his girlfriend has put Amy under a lot of stress, her relationship with her boyfriend, Chris Marek, has clearly brought her a lot of joy, too.
Everyone’s anxiously awaiting the day Amy announces she’s engaged to Chris, but it looks like we’ll have to keep waiting. She just told everyone on Instagram she still doesn’t have a ring.
Amy Roloff stated she’d love to get married to Chris Marek
Amy first met Chris Marek during a paint-and-sip singles mixer — and while they didn’t necessarily hit it off right then and there, Marek was able to woo her later on. Now, we’ve seen these two go on countless motorcycle rides and camping adventures together. And while Amy once mentioned that she doesn’t think she’d ever get married again, Marek is causing her to change her tune.
While on a camping trip with friends, People reports Amy told producers that she still believes in marriage even after all the heartbreak she’s been through. “Even though I’m divorced, I still value and will hold up high the whole concept, the reason, the purpose that marriage is here,” she said. And Amy later added, “I’m not here to push him, I’m not here for him to do something that he is nowhere [near] ready for. But if marriage is meant to happen for me again, the second time, then I would sing ‘Hallelujah.'”
Fans have their concerns about Marek
While fans generally love Amy and want her to be happy, they have expressed some concerns when it comes to her relationship with her boyfriend. On one episode of LPBW, Marek was upset with Amy for arriving late to meet up with him, and fans saw this as a major red flag. “Run….fast! If Chris got that upset and pouted like a 3yr old over a simple mistake…not good!” one follower commented on this Instagram photo. Another wrote, “Amy, you can do better than Chris. Alone would be better than having to gravel and beg for his mercy because you were late.”
Even the other Roloffs seemed wary of Marek at first. During an interview with Us Weekly, Amy discussed how dating post-divorce wasn’t always easy for her kids to get behind. “So, to my kids, it’s like, ‘Wait a minute — what is mom doing? Who is this person?’” she said. “And just helping them to appreciate that life does go on and, you know, he is a person you don’t know but I’m so appreciative of the respect and everything that they have given him.” Now, it seems like the Roloffs — including Matt — really enjoy Marek’s company and the joy he brings Amy.
She just told her fans via Instagram that she’s still not engaged
So, with engagement talk in the recent past, fans are anticipating Amy will be wearing a ring any day now. It seems we may have to keep waiting, however. According to In Touch Weekly, one of her fans commented on her recent Instagram photo of her and Chris’ family, “Ms. Amy. I spotted a beautiful ring on your finger during your live chat … hmmmm?” To that, Amy wrote back, “No big news. It’s a ring I had remade from a ring I already had. It’s on my right finger.”
Others also reacted excitedly to Amy’s photo, too. “I’m so glad you are truly loved. Chris looks at you as though he could eat you up!” one of her fans commented. And another added, “You and Chris are so sweet together!! I just love the way you look at each other. So happy that you found someone who you really connect with.”
When the time is right for Amy and Chris to tie the knot, we know they’ll have the support of many LPBW fans.
