‘Little People, Big World’: Matt Roloff’s Girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, Just Revealed She’s Been Having a ‘Tough’ Time

We’ve been watching the Roloff family ever since they first made their debut in 2006 on TLC’s Little People, Big World. And while a lot has changed within the family over the years (like all four Roloff children growing up and moving out, for example), there’s no doubt the family still maintains a serious following, as we all want to know what they’re getting into next. Matt and Amy, a couple with dwarfism, kicked off their fame by showing viewers what life is like with their condition. And while they may be divorced now, viewers love seeing both of them find love again on their own terms.

Matt Roloff has been dating girlfriend Caryn Chandler for years now, and he actually knew her a decade prior to them dating because she worked on Roloff Farms. Their relationship seems totally solid, though she did note she was currently going through a rough patch. Here’s what happened.

Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler seem to be crazy about each other

The divorce was definitely tough for both Matt and Amy, but Matt seems to have moved on completely with Caryn. CafeMom notes they made their relationship internet official back in March 2017, and they’ve been involved in a whirlwind romance ever since. Matt has even mentioned that he enjoys Caryn “immensely” whether they’re working on the farm together or just relaxing — and their love has definitely sparked engagement rumors, too.

It seems the most important aspect of Caryn and Matt’s life currently is finding their own place, as they’re living on Roloff Farms property with Amy incredibly close by. But once that step is taken, fans are wondering if we’ll see another Roloff wedding in the works. As one Instagram user commented on Matt’s photo, “When are you two gonna make it legal? You are so good [together.] I have never seen Matt smile so much.” The Hollywood Gossip notes back in December, Caryn verified that they’re not engaged “yet,” but that still leaves the future wide open.

Here’s why Caryn just said she’s been having a ‘tough couple of days’

Even with a blossoming romance (and perhaps an engagement in the future, fans hope), Caryn likes to get candid on social media with her followers. She posted a photo of a bouquet of flowers to Instagram with the caption, “It’s been a tough couple of days … Coming home to these on my porch from @mattroloff was a very sweet surprise.”

As for what’s been going on with Caryn, In Touch Weekly notes she’s evidently been dealing with the death of her friend’s father. One of her followers seems to be the friend in question, as they commented, “Awww — what a sweetie. And sissy thank you for being here with me!! I love you more than words can say! And @mattroloff thanks for loaning me your girl! Love you both.” The publication notes Caryn also left a comment on that friend’s Instagram, too, which exhibits how close the two are. “Such an honor to have known your dad … and lucky I got to give you for real hugs the past few days,” Caryn wrote.

Fans have been generally supportive, but not everyone approves of their relationship

Caryn’s Instagram is usually full of happy photos of her and Matt, so her fans were sad to see that she was going through a tough time. They flooded her Instagram with love and well wishes in response. “What a sweet and caring man that mattroloff is,” said one of her followers. Another added, “I hope everything is okay. The flowers are beautiful. You two make a great couple. There’s a lot of respect and love between you. Way to go. Sending the best of wishes to you both.”

Sadly, not everyone approves of Matt and Caryn’s relationship. CafeMom notes some of their Instagram followers have posted negatively about Caryn, however, with one even calling her a “leach.” We also know Amy, Matt’s ex-wife, has had a particularly difficult time accepting Caryn into her life and has said as much while the cameras were rolling. Either way, most LPBW viewers are happy Matt has found someone to love and hope wedding bells will ring soon.
