‘Little People, Big World’: Tori Roloff Is Sharing How Her Second Pregnancy Is More Difficult Than Her First

We’ve been watching Little People, Big World for over a decade, and many of the Roloff family’s biggest victories and challenges have been recorded by the show. While we remember Matt and Amy Roloff as the happily married little couple with four children and the family farm, that’s since changed. The two are now divorced, and some of the focus of the show has shifted to their son, Zach, and his wife, Tori.

Zach and Tori already have one adorable child, Jackson. And recently, Tori announced she’s pregnant with baby No.2 — though she’s mentioned this pregnancy is way more difficult than the first. Here’s what she said.

Tori Roloff recently announced her second pregnancy via Instagram

Those following the show shouldn’t be too surprised that Tori and Zach are expecting again. The two have talked in the past about their desires to have a large family, and Tori mentioned recently on the show that she was getting “baby fever” once again. On May 14, Tori posted the announcement to Instagram along with a photo of her, Zach, and their 2-year-old son, Jackson wearing a “big brother” T-shirt.

“Zachary and I are so excited to announce that Jackson is going to be a big brother! We are expecting a sweet baby girl this November!” she captioned her post. And the rest of the Roloff family is already expressing how excited they are for the new baby, too. “Grandpa is hitting the lotto!!” Matt Roloff commented. And Amy added, “My heart is full of so much love over this. This grandma is so happy and for you both!”

She shared how difficult it’s been for her during an Instagram Q&A

Tori may put on a happy face via Instagram, and there’s no doubt she’s ecstatic for her and Zach’s little girl to arrive — but it certainly hasn’t been easy for the mom. Romper notes she recently took to Instagram to answer some fan questions about her pregnancy, and she got super candid about the difficulties she’s been having. And while the pregnancy itself has been tougher this go-round than with Jackson, it was also more difficult for her to conceive. She noted to fans that it took “8 months” for her to get pregnant and gave her a greater appreciation “for women in general.”

When a fan asked Tori if this pregnancy was easier or harder than her first via Instagram, she wrote, “A lot harder. But still easy. If that makes sense. I had no symptoms with j other than egg aversions. I’ve got all the symptoms this time.” And Tori also added that it can be difficult keeping up with her 2-year-old since she’s been feeling unwell, but Zach’s been an “amazing husband” in helping out here.

Will her second child also have a form of dwarfism?

We know Tori’s having a baby girl, which she “screamed and cried” with excitement about when she found out. But will this baby have a form of dwarfism like both Zach and Jackson?

It seems there’s a 50% chance, as there also was with Jackson. Since Tori’s of normal height and Zach has a form of dwarfism, their second baby (and all other children they have in the future) has an equal chance of being born as a little person or of average height. If their daughter is born with a dwarfism condition, it seems she’ll have achondroplasia like both her brother and father, too. We’re not sure if Tori has any indication whether baby No. 2 will be of average height or not, but she did say in the past that she confirmed Jackson’s status around 34 weeks of pregnancy.

Little person or not, we know Zach and Tori’s child is going to be well loved and completely taken care of. Cheers to the happy parents!
