The latest season of Little People, Big World may have recently ended, but fans are still wondering what the Roloffs are up to. Amy Roloff has been making the biggest splash with the release of her new memoir, A Little Me, and Matt Roloff has subsequently been getting quite a bit of attention as well. When it comes to fan favorites, however, it’s clear their son, Zach, and his wife Tori, are who viewers adore the most.
Currently, Tori is pregnant with her second child, and the family couldn’t be happier. But she’s reminding everyone she knows what’s best for her family, especially when it comes to her son, Jackson. Here’s what she recently mentioned on her Instagram Story after she received criticism for a parenting choice.
Tori Roloff is currently giving updates on baby No. 2
We heard Zach and Tori hinting at wanting another child on the latest season of LPBW, and more recently, Tori announced her pregnancy on Instagram. “Zachary and I are so excited to announce that Jackson is going to be a big brother! We are expecting a sweet baby girl this November!” she captioned her social media post.
Fans already adore Tori and Zach’s 2-year-old son, Jackson, too. Jackson has achondroplasia, which is the type of dwarfism both Zach and Amy have. As for the couple’s upcoming daughter, we have yet to find out if she’ll also have a form of dwarfism, as Tori has noted before that she couldn’t confirm Jackson’s achondroplasia until she was almost at the end of her pregnancy. We do know the baby has a 50% chance of being of average height, however.
We may have to wait until another season of LPBW starts to hear about Tori’s pregnancy in detail, but for now, In Touch Weekly reminds us she’s giving plenty of updates on her growing baby bump in her Instagram stories.
She’s clapped back at mom-shamers in the past
Tori’s followers love hearing about her marriage to Zach and her growing family, but even this loving and likable mom isn’t immune to mom-shaming. She’s been criticized for her parenting in the past — and she hasn’t hesitated to speak out about it, either. In this Instagram post she added in December 2018, she clapped back at the hate she was getting with her caption.
“Mom shaming is a real thing and it’s not cool. I get it all the time because I put my tactics out there and I try to be as honest about my life as possible,” she started. “But for some reason lately I’ve been getting a lot of people bashing my momisms or how I do things in my home. I don’t want my social media to go there.” Tori then went on to explain that she always does the best she can, and everyone should be more kind and accepting, especially when it comes to parenting methods. “I posted as just a reminder to EVERYONE to lift one another up. Don’t knock each other down.”
She’s not accepting criticism when it comes to Jackson’s safety with her dog, either
Despite Tori’s call for acceptance at the end of 2018, it seems some of her followers are still criticizing her for how she’s choosing to raise Jackson, especially with the family’s dog, Murphy. In Touch Weekly notes Tori posted a video of Jackson playing with Murphy, a large Bernese Mountain Dog, and it was met with a ton of concern. To that, Tori took to her Instagram Story to reassure everyone that Jackson and Murphy played together just fine.
As Tori wrote in her story, “Please know that I am VERY aware of safety when it comes to animals. Murphy LOVES Jackson and often times engages him in play.” She then added that she knows Murphy would never hurt Jackson on purpose, and she and Zach also don’t allow Jackson to hurt Murphy. “I understand that many have scary stories of dogs hurting their kids and trust me we take that seriously. But also not all dogs are alike. You have to know your dog and what your dog’s limits are,” she added. In her final Instagram Story slide, she added that the most important thing she can teach Jackson is that not every dog is like Murphy.
We’re sure we’ll see plenty more of Jackson and Murphy playing in the future, too. And thanks to Tori and Zach, we know everyone will be perfectly safe.
