A Longer Clip of ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’ is Released in New ‘Spirit Untamed’ Trailer’
On the heels of Taylor Swift‘s Brit Awards win in May, she might be back to releasing more music. The Global Icon Award recipient shared a longer version of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version).” She allowed the audio to play in a brand new extended commercial for Spirit Untamed. As of May 2021, no announcements have yet been made about the song’s official release. Furthermore, Swift has been quiet on news regarding 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Nonetheless, fans are overjoyed with the longer new clip.
Taylor Swift fans don’t know what re-record she is releasing next
Swift put out Fearless (Taylor’s Version) on April 9. This was months after she originally teased “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” in a Match commercial. The singer has made no formal announcement yet on which of her first few albums she is releasing the re-recorded version of next. But of course, there are still many theories circulating the internet as Swifties are always looking for new Easter eggs for clues.
Possible Swiftie theories on Swift’s next album include a third folklore/evermore album; 1989 (Taylor’s Version); Red (Taylor’s Version); or Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). Some fans were convinced that “22 (Taylor’s Version)” would come after a slew of suspected hints. Others believed “Shake It Off (Taylor’s Version)” is the next song to be released. But many have held true to the idea that “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” will be her next single.
A longer version of ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’ just dropped
Swift had released a small teaser clip of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in a short Spirit Untamed commercial back in mid-March 2021. Now, a longer, nearly 2-minute trailer for the movie came out, along with an extended clip of the yet-to-be-released track.
Fans went wild on social media, thinking this longer teaser is sure to mean that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is right around the corner. With Swift’s pizza hints signaling to her 1989 pizza parties, her Brit Awards outfit resembling her 1989 era clothing, and another “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” clip — those fans could very well be correct.
Taylor Swift teased the new ‘Love Story (Taylor’s Version)’ in a clip
Swift’s friend Ryan Reynolds worked on a commercial for Match.com titled “Match Made in Hell” that satirized the “hellish” year of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The clip showed “2020” meeting the devil on a date, while “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” played in the background.
The commercial was the first indication that Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was going to be released. At the moment, the strongest indicator that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is up next is due to the multiple Spirit Untamed commercials with more and more audio of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” being released.
But it is Swift — and she loves surprising her fans. So really, who could know what’s next? That is, until she makes any official announcements.
Until then, we’ll still be listening to Fearless (Taylor’s Version), and playing this commercial on repeat.
