‘Love & Hip Hop’: Karlie Redd and Benzino Engage in Back-and-Forth After She Leaks Alleged DMs
With the new season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta currently airing on VH1, Karlie Redd continues to make headlines for actions on and oof the show. She recently got into a back-and-forth on social media with her ex-boyfriend, Benzino, after posting an alleged screenshot of his messages to her.
Benzino and Karlie Redd were together on ‘Love & Hip Hop’
Benzino, whose real name is Raymond Scott, was a cast member on the first three seasons of Love & Hip Hop. He was introduced as a rapper and the best friend of Stevie J. During the first season, he was in a relationship with Redd.
Benzino and Redd broke up in the first season’s finale after he proposed to her but then took the offer back as well as the engagement ring.
Benzino and his current partner, Althea Hart, left the show after getting involved in an explosive fight with Stevie J and Joseline at the third season’s reunion special.
Though Stevie J and Benzino were friends, their relationship began to deteriorate after Benzino put out a song implying that he had sex with Joseline.
The two go back and forth on social media
Redd and Benzino got into a spat on Instagram after Redd posted some direct messages that she claimed were from Benzino. Redd tried to expose Benzino on social media, posting what she said were screenshots of Benzino’s constant messages to her.
In the alleged conversation, it looked like Benzino sent several messages to Redd to which she didn’t respond. He sent things like “You look beautiful tonight. As always” and “You look amazing Karlie.”
After she posted the alleged messages, Benzino clapped back at her on social media and claimed that the screenshot was fabricated.
In a post on Instagram post, Benzino insinuated that Redd was trying to get at him because he is back on reality television and that she needs a storyline. He wrote in part, “For a couple of years nobody mentioned nothing about me, now I’m back on tv and all of a sudden here comes the bs.”
Redd has yet to make a post in response to Benzino’s rebuttal.
