Rumors came up a few months ago of the radio show

It was first unveiled in October that Trina and Trick Daddy would be getting their own radio show on Miami’s 99 Jamz, replacing the syndicated The Ricky Smiley Morning Show for the station.

The Jasmine Brand was the first outlet to report the news that they would be on 99 Jamz. According to the site, the radio show will be included in the new season of Love & Hip Hop: Miami.

Prior to this report, they also said back in June that the two were in talks with 99 Jamz for something.

Trina and Trick Daddy officially unveil morning show

The news was made official in a video posted on 99 Jamz’s official Instagram page, where they addressed the rumors. “The cat’s outta the bag. Morning radio ain’t never gonna be the same no more,” said Trick Daddy in the video.

Trina added, “We can’t wait to take over mornings on the radio station we grew up listening to.”

Who else will be on the show and when will it debut?

99 Jamz has promoted Radio Big Mack and DJ Nasty 305, who are on the airwaves currently at night, to mornings. The two will co-host Trina and Trick Daddy’s show. Radio Big Mack is a comedian who has been on Wild ‘n Out, while DJ Nasty 305 is a popular local DJ.

“It’s such a pleasure to promote Radio Big Mack and DJ Nasty 305 to this new prime time position. They definitely earned their stripes as premiere on-air talent and will be a huge part of the new morning show’s success,” said Strada.

99 Jamz/WEDR will premiere the new morning show on Jan. 6, 2020.
