The last season of Little People, Big World showed Matt and Amy Roloff at greater odds with each other than ever before. We remember when the ex-couple were together when the show first began, but three decades after their marriage, they decided to call it quits on their relationship. Now, they’re figuring out what to do with Roloff Farms since they both still live on the property but hope to amicably go their separate ways.
Amy’s opening up to her fans about her personal life. And she recently revealed she’s looking for a new house. In her recent Instagram Story, she divulged that she may be ready to put another offer down on a new home, too.
Amy Roloff decided to sell her half of Roloff Farms to ex-husband Matt
After their divorce, Amy and Matt Roloff decided to both stay on Roloff Farms property — but this past season of LPBW had Amy making a major decision for herself. After much deliberation, Amy chose to sell her half of Roloff Farms to Matt. As she said on the show, “The farm worked for me because we had two people making it happen. I can’t do it on my own.”
Matt Roloff further explained the farm situation on this Instagram post, too. “I have chosen to buy (and Amy has chosen to sell) me only one side of the farm At this time.. Not the original farmstead … not the side with the pumpkin patch or her house [sic],” he wrote. He then went on to write that Amy will live in her home until she decides to leave. At that point, the two will work together to get her off the farm property and settled into her new house, wherever that may be.
While Amy made the decision to leave the farm, she’s still ways away from actually moving. She noted on Facebook Live that she’s not planning on leaving the farm until November 2019 at the earliest.
Her most recent house offer was rejected
House hunting is never easy — and Amy recently took to both Facebook Live and Instagram to share how her journey is going with her followers. On this Instagram post, she wrote about how long she’s been searching for a new home. And unfortunately, it seems she’s been having trouble locking down a house she likes. As she wrote, “I’ve been through or seen more doors in the last 6+ months. And well I thought I had found the house I could make into a home again but I got beat out again by a higher offer [sic].”
While Amy might be bummed about not getting the house she bid for, she noted in another post that her boyfriend, Chris, has been ultra-supportive. “Chris was with me and the comfort he gave to just quietly help me to let it go and tell me there’s going to be another house I can make a home.” And her fans have been showing their support, too. “Don’t feel bad, chin up, deep breath and move on to the next,” a fan commented.
She just said on her Instagram Stories that she may be ready to put another offer down
Amy was understandably bummed about the first offer not working out, but according to what she just said on her Instagram Stories, her hope has been revived. “I think I gave myself a little pity party on Sunday when my offer on a house got rejected,” she said in her Story. “I know that just wasn’t the house that was meant to be.”
Amy then went on to thank her followers for their support — and she then mentioned that she’s been looking at other homes that she’s loving. “Guess what? Today, I looked at a few more houses. And there might be a possibility of another one that I might make an offer on,” she said excitedly. We’re hoping Amy finds the house of her dream and shares it with everyone ASAP or on the next season of Little People, Big World!
